I had purchased this teeny weeny pad with canvas sheets - you know the sample kind ?
And it said it was water based media friendly so I tried the water color markers - the michaels generic one . And then tried to do a portrait of sorts ...
The canvas is primered so it is waxy - the water slides off it and you really have to slather it a couple of times before it settles..I had lots of hair raising moments and moments when I was ready to chuck it to the dustbin.
The hand still needs work and so does the shoulders...but I think the eyes came off pretty well and the face looks ok. The posture is difficult ..so probably I need to work on the sketch more but I cant help myself ... I want to throw colors into it :D
