"Insect Life"
I made a collection of my insects cut paper artwork. I selected butterflies and bees cut paper art from my previous collection. Many different types of insects visit my yard every day. I feel happy to see them because they are essential living things in our lives. However, I see fewer bees than last year but I see more mosquitoes or deerflies.
Also, some kinds of small pests damage our yard's grass this year. Additionally, the weather is very dry. My garden is pretty dry as well. I don't water the garden much usually but I have to water it this year. Luckily, the wildflowers and weeds are very tough so insects are visiting them. I really hope a variety of insects survives.
虫の人生、切り絵"
虫の切り絵のコレクションを作りました。以前作成したコレクションの中から蝶々と蜂の切り絵を選びました。私の庭には日々さまざまな虫がやってきます。虫はわたしたちの暮らしにとって大切なので、庭で虫を見かけると安心して嬉しくなります。でも、蚊やメクラアブの数は多いのですが、去年より蜂の数が少ない気がします。
今年は害虫が庭の草にダメージを与えているのに加えて、今年の天候はとても乾燥しています。庭も乾燥がひどいです。通常は畑に水を撒かないのですが、今年は水撒きをたくさんしています。ラッキーなことに、野花や雑草は元気なので虫はそちらの方に行きます。色々な種類の虫が生き延びでくれることを願っています。
