Another new piece for the series called "Thinking about home" (oil on paper)

Hello hivers, an happy Friday to you all!

Here today we celabrate the Festa della Repubblica (the Republic Day), an holiday we use to celebrate on 2 June every year to commemorate the national referendum held by universal suffrage in the 1946 (after the Second World War), in which the most part of Italian people were called to decide on the form of government.

The main celebrations are in Rome, but as you can understand it will be a long weekend for every citizen of my country. ^_^

Today I'm here to show you my latest artworks of the series of pieces I called "Thinking about home". The subject is very similar to the paper doll I shared with you yesterday (you can read that content here). I'm working on these pieces for my next solo exhibition in August and even if the exhibition will be in 2 months, I'm very excited to think about it, believe me. ^_^

I worked on tis painting while my hubby was teaching to his art class inside the lab room and it was really nice to work there between the students (I know them since some years and it's a fantastic group of people).
This piece is an oil painting on 200 gsm paper in A4 size and, like I love to do every time, I took some pics while I was painted her so you can see the process too:

Soon I'll add this new artwork to my Artfinder shop (link at the bottom) and, if one of my customers will buy it before the exhibition, I'll paint a new one 😛!
