On Friday I announced this weeks #weekend-engagement post topic.
The concept is that I release a topic on a Friday and the community has the weekend to respond and join in then on Monday I announce winners and transfer some hive to their wallets. It's a simple concept designed to inspire some engagement on the weekend, and reward effort.
Nope, you're not going to with this fold of Australian' $100's but the prize pool has escalated from the 20 hive I originally offered thanks to the following people

If you're keen to enter see the post here which will tell you what you have to do...It's simple really...No long list of rules, just a small amount of effort. You will be able to scroll through and see other people's entries on that announcement post so you will get a good idea of it.
I do this to get a little activity going on the weekend and to promote engagement which is critical here on hive as it will help build relationships which is the best way to build ones own profile and account.
Further to this it is a great way for very small accounts to get noticed and also gather some additional hive for their account which will help them engage more also!
So, if you want to join in click here to find out how you can do so, and if you know anyone that might be interested bring their attention to it as they have a great chance to pick up a decent amount of hive.
It's only 11am my time Sunday here in Australia so that means there's 25 hours left to enter as I'll close it off at 12pm Monday and announce the winners...And transfer their hive!
Oh, if you don't want to join in yourself it would be cool if you went over and supported those who have with a comment or two and maybe a vote. That's what communities do...Support each other.

Thank you for commenting...I think, though, that the good job is being done by those entering and engaging with the rest of the community, and those users who have supported me with an injection of their hard-earned hive for prizes. I hope some of the newer members of the community see an opportunity to get something for just a little effort, but only the individual can make the decision to take the initiative.

Hive is an amazing place. I just finished typing a response to another user who has supported this engagement-initiative...He offered some words for the loss of my father a few days ago...It's been amazing how this community has rallied around me and my brother @tarazkp with thoughts, kind sentiments and words of condolence. I've written about it int he last few days, losing my dad and my beast mate Merlin, my cat who was with me for 22 years...But the way the community had closed ranks around me...Its been nice.
That's the thing with hive. It's more than just a social media...It's a community. It has been a nice place to come to as a break from the sorrow of losing my dad.
Thanks for your message, and for remembering the help I offered you. You're a great member of the community and I see you around supporting others here...It get's noticed.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Sometimes it's quite comforting to have everyone's support here. Sometimes I want to be more active but the light and the Internet don't allow it. For me being in Hive has been my salvation. About two months ago I had no money and I made a post and I received the help of so many people that it made me cry. Living in Venezuela is not easy, but spending my time here helps me cope with things a bit and when there are such wonderful people.
Do what you can, when you can. That's all you can do. You have been a constant presence here and it speaks highly of your persistence and quality.

That's how perseverance has helped me a lot here. Losing the people we love is never easy, but now you are in a better place. I lost my father almost 7 years ago and I always miss him but I keep the happy moments and that keeps him alive in my heart always
