No good-quality content here on hive? You're wrong, there's loads of it!
I have spent the last week reading many top-quality posts, written by everyday people from around the world. Those posts have covered many topics and were written by young and old and people from all walks of life including some who don't call english their first language. A typical cross-section of hive I guess.
Passion, personality and effort
A week ago I asked the hive community to write a post with the only criteria being to use passion, personality and effort. A simple request.
My friends @abh12345 and @meesterboom plus my brother @tarazkp and myself decided to offer a small delegation of 4000HP to split over the two best. Thanks to those three chaps who added their weight to the 1000HP I was initially offering.
The tags #engage-onhive and #post-onhive is where you will find the entries, it's worth a look too, there's some really nice ones.
Posting on hive can be daunting; How will it be received, will it get rewarded, will someone comment, will it be judged... Yes to all of the above probably...
...Yet we had so many entries from people who put themselves out there on the blockchain. My hope is that those who have challenged themselves and entered will continue to apply those same three principles to every post they create here.
The judging
Fortunately I didn't have to select the winners. I don't think I would have been able to do so as there were so many worthy options. The other three had that difficult task after I shortlisted several options. They came to a decision only moments ago and only just let me know who they had selected. So...

Your delegation of 2000HP each will begin shortly, when the four of us delegators synchronise our watches and get it done, and will run for one month unless the delegators decide to extend it which will be a personal decision on their part of course.

The future
The four of us have discussed doing something like this on a monthly basis. We haven't developed a strategy as yet but we'll probably do something different each time I guess. It's yet to be determined so stay tuned.

Did you know they stop physically breathing when they hop over long distances? They do this to conserver energy. The bounding motion operates their lungs for them, without them having to actively do it themselves. Interesting huh? They have three vaginas too. True.

I have to admit that I was at first on fire to enter, but thankfully rationality set in.
At times we have to set our own interests aside in order for others to benefit and I saw the possibilities in your effort, not only from the winning side, but also in the help for new entrants to learn how to do good posts.
A very good effort and it also lends itself to many other possibilities.
It was a test, to see how things went. We will chat, the four of us, and see where it goes from here.
I think that it went well for what my thoughts are worth.

It was a fun and meaningful hive ride.
Thank you in turn for some very solid entries. Unfortunately not everyone could win the delegation but everyone who entered are winners nonetheless. This was an experiment to see how many responded and what they responded with. It will form the basis for anything of a similar nature we do moving forward. I was pleased to see so many entries and hope that everyone keeps producing great content in the future.
