My Hive Business Card Design

The #hivebusinesscard has been the talk of the chain and each participant presents their own version. This is in response to the ongoing contest of @acidyo and as a part of the test run, the @hiveph community will be featured and it's my honor to be part of this initiative since I'm part of the Hive Ph Community as well.

When thinking about a business card, one thing that should be taken into account is its simplicity, yet rounding up all the essentials that would represent the business, website, or anything you are promoting.

Looking at the submitted entries, I thought mine would be no match with theirs since their designs are professional and excellent. And the only editing apps I have on my phone are Canva and PicsArt.

The QR Codes for Hive Onboard and Hive Ph discord were generated from QR.io.

Beforehand, I already have pictured in my mind what kind of business card I want, and whether I win or lose, I want to join this competition.

I was browsing the Hive.buzz the other day and I noticed the Hive.buzz logo colors which are different from the original Hive logo. It is composed of red, orange, and gold. That's when I came up with an idea for my business card. So the primary colors used here were shades of red, orange, and gold. However, the red color of Hive is too bright to use on a business card so I made it a bit darker to complement other colors.

As per acidyo, the front part should be universal and only Hive related. Apart from putting the Hive logo as the essential part of the card, I also included a graphic that represents the Hive blockchain. The graphic represents a blockchain connecting different Hive users from all parts of the world through different platforms developed on the Hive Blockchain.

I have included some platforms mainly used on Hive:

• Pinmapple for travel blogging
• 3Speak for vlogging
• Liketu for photo sharing
• Aureal for podcasting
• Leofinance for crypto and finance
• and two most used platforms for Hive blogging, the Peakd and Ecency

I also included the bee logo as this also represents Hive. Meanwhile, below the Hive name is a precise description of Hive, a Decentralized Web3 Blockchain.

The QR code connecting to Hive Onboard was placed beside the Hive name to make the front not too crowded.

The back design should be something that represents the Hive Ph so I used the community logo. My favorite part is the Ph flag graphic design I made which represents the Philippines.

The QR Code is connected to the Hive Ph discord server.

Aside from the discord server, I also added other socials of the Hive Ph community, such as Twitter, FB, and Reddit in case you are interested to follow it on its other socials.

At the lower right corner of the card, I added the quote "Unleash your hidden skills."

We all know that Hive isn't just for blogging. This is also a home for developers, vloggers, podcasters, and even gamers. There are a lot more opportunities here where one could unleash his/her hidden skills. This is also a great platform to enhance writing abilities, photography skills, singing talents, and others. This chain is more like a stepping stone to greater opportunities.

Then after a while, I decided to change the background color to black and modified some colors. It looks even cooler.
