The Rough Patches That Comes With Countless Barrenness...

A friend was recently celebrating Liverpool's FC 30 years end of a drought for an EPL title which happened about three days ago and I had to do a little analysis in my head. First, throughout these 30 years Liverpool spent a total of £1.47 billion, employing and sacking over 13 managers, tried a lot of methodology and footballing style and spent many years caught in between mediocre and reliving their previous glories and even when things starting getting good for them, they still they still faltered when they got to the tipping point of success.

Without getting this wrong, this isn't a sport themed post. Truth is, all our lives sometimes feels like trial and error and we don't get it right irrespective of how clinical or technical we get to become. One of the reasons why we fail to scale through the many frustrating stint of failure is because every series of failure we go through steals the chunk of faith and perseverance we have. The ability to stay whole, stay sane and stay together is always compromised hence it's always easier to give up the chase rather than continuing through the rigorous process of failure.

Disappointments will definitely linger but that doesn't mean we're not destined goodness. Sometimes we feel downtrodden because life creates a mindset of competition to each and everyone on earth and because we've persevered too much, our level of tolerance becomes too bleak and it only takes time before hope is totally lost. Sometimes we know hope is the only thing we have left. But the reason why many let's go of hope is because no one knows what lies at the edge of hope, it could be disappointments, it could be further pain or it could just be a tiny blurp of of goodwill.

Sometimes there are underlying lessons in everything we witness and see around us but then, no lessons teaches better than the one's we've personally experienced. In truth we can't fault ourselves for not wanting to go through things, it's herculean, it can be frustrating and it can be futile. However no one wants to experience futility for each and every effort they put in. But then it's part of the complexities that surrounds our existence and our only duties remains to keep putting in resilience and patience and time because we will fail while watching others succeed and this will take a toll on us.

Using Liverpool FC as a case study today, they've been mocked for spending money and not getting result and this external noise was enough to deaden their quest. Nevertheless patience is not just a virtue, it's a platform necessary for the required perseverance that will ultimately take us through our period of dark times. Not everyone is built in to take the many depressing feeling that comes with achieving no results despite individualistic attempts at being equipped and better. One thing we must accept is, life doesn't play by anyone's rules and we're not ascertained failures just because we tried countless times and it never worked.
