Other Niche Communities Curation Report #111

OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 111th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

Valores culturales de mi país Venezuela | Cultural values of my country Venezuela [ESP-ENG]

Venezuela is considered a country with many cultures, customs, and traditions, which are in force in each town or city, where it is preserved by each family, depending on the place where it is located.

The cultural values, is
understood as the population's own signs of identity, that is, those traditions, customs, ways of life, values and forms of social relations that today are referents of a local identity, perceived as a collective heritage.

Insect macrophotography smartphone

The beauty and uniqueness of an insect in macrophotography makes me even more interested in hunting for their pictures around plants and today I again did some insect macrophotography shots at two different times, namely in the morning and in the afternoon before nightfall.

And this morning I had a little time to play around the grass that grew around an abandoned house not far from my house and around the garden of the house I found getting some macrophotography shots of small insects that were quite unique.

Hollistic Therapy For Mental, Emotional, Physical and Spiritual Wellbeing

Standing still, looking down at the swaying canal water, focusing on my breath, posture and the surrounding sounds of nature; through my peripheral vision, I see a man, also still, frozen in his track looking up at me.

Continuing my focus and preparing for the opening movements, I slowly rotate my neck and I glance over my right shoulder. Smiling, I nod at the elderly man who melts with a sigh of relief. He continues walking, smiling, and waves profusely at me.

What If You Are Forced to Build an Emergency Garden?

If we ever experience a collapse, those who are not prepared will be scrambling to come up with enough food. In fact, most will be scrambling to come up with enough food at some point! Some will turn to a life of crime. Others might try to build an emergency garden. But at that point, there might not be seeds at your local Home Depot or the ability to order from your favorite seed catalog.

What could people do or use to get something into the ground that could produce a crop. What follows is a guest post from Michael. He shared some insights into a "what-if" scenario. After reading his thoughts, what would you add? Be sure to leave some helpful tips in the comments.

Don't touch me! - ¡No me toques! / (Esp-Eng)

She played in the garden, especially when they went out to work. Her older brother had his own affairs and paying attention to her was not her priority. She had the habit of walking her dolls through every flower.

They would go to her bedside before they left for work to tell her what she should and shouldn't do (tidy her room, do her homework, not leave toys lying around, behave herself and make her bed after getting up), she already knew it by heart but for strange reasons she couldn't do it all.

White Rose Coffee order arrived!

This time around I still ordered the Brazil Nuts because of how good it tastes I really like the nutty taste of the coffee. I decided this time to also pick up the Vietnam Arabica blend I was intrigued by the description on the site and when it arrived I was blown away it gave off A strong smell and well the smell of coffee is always good.

I purchased A 500g size of Brazil Nuts it lasts me quite A while and I am the only coffee drinker so I think A 1KG bag will take me too long to consume. I picked up the 250g size of the Vietnam Arabica just to try it out as I haven't tried it and if it's something I enjoy I will pick up the 500g size next time.

Building a Renault Floride

There is every chance you have never heard of a Renault Floride. but I have, you see maybe 15 years ago I saw a Renault Floride advertised for something like $1,500 and I considered buying it, seriously considered it, Although I have not mechanical capabilities I thought - I could restore that. But I had nowhere to put it not having a house with a garage or anything so I decided not to buy it. I've regretted ever since.

So now that I have a chance to get one again I'm pretty excited. Okay it's made of Lego, and I have to make it from scratch myself and I can't drive it, but I can still have one and that's pretty darn cool.

DIY Eye Patch from felt | Useful for Eye Training & little wannabe Pirates

Many children have one lazy eye, so we discovered. I personally never had this issue, neither did my boyfriend, but we are blessed with a daughter thas has a lazy eye. She has been checked several times by eye doctors and nothing came to the surface to worry about. The advise was given to use eye patch stickers and train her eye to get this right.

[ESP|ENG] Google Meet, a tool for communication

Hello dear Hive community, today I want to share my experience with a platform, that in these times of pandemic, has helped me to be communicated with my friends, and thus get closer every day to this changing world, in the subject of technology.
