OCD Communities Incubation Program - Update #87

in OCD2 years ago
Authored by @ybanezkim26

Hello everyone! Team OCD here with another update on our ongoing Community Incubation Program. The communities are trying their best to keep engagement levels up and are ready to welcome and guide new users. Community leaders/moderators continue to highlight great posts in our discord for some added curation.

We aim to support communities, help them grow, and allow users posting on genre-specific topics to find the right community spaces to interact with like-minded individuals and gain through the focused curation done by community leaders.

If you've started a new and unique genre-specific community that has the potential to raise a lot of activity, provided that your community has no existing similar community yet, feel free to apply for our incubation program - either by writing in the comment section or contacting us on our Discord in the #community-incubation channel. You can get more info about the program here.

Without further wait, below we give you details on the subscriber growth of the communities since our last post...

Photography Lovers has maintained the lead this week and there's no significant change in the ranking in terms of the number of subscribers. Most communities are active and doing pretty well, and people are certainly checking them out as they explore diverse topics and contribute to interesting conversations across Hive.

What's the one new community you subscribed to recently? We'd love to know in the comments.

We're looking forward to adding more communities that focusing on different subjects to our incubation program, and helping them grow with curation and/or delegations.

These posts aim to highlight the communities as well as their curation accounts that post the curation reports, and if you find a community interesting, do feel free to have a look around or subscribe. They'd be happy to welcome and guide you.

The community moderators/curators are doing a great job trying to onboard and help new users as well as highlighting great content for curation. Users must find the right communities and subscribe to those that interest them, which keeps them active and engaged. Thanks for reading!

We would appreciate it if you want to delegate to @ocdb and earn some daily returns with a low fee which can be tracked on our website and vote for our witness if you appreciate what we're doing on Hive.

Have you stumbled upon some new communities that are unique to the ones above and would like to see them get supported? Feel free to mention them here in the comments or join us on Discord and talk about it there in the #community-incubation channel! Please note that this is only for unique niches/genres of communities, nothing "general original content" or country or language-based.

Best of luck👍

Greetings @ocdb
My question is: what can and should do a person who publishes such interesting and novel topics, scientific or health, especially aimed at primary and secondary students (and why not, also to university students); well explained and with a remarkable graphic presentation, to be seen, read and voted more fairly according to the guidelines of the curators and this platform that say: "no plagiarism", "quality articles", "take care of the errors in the text", etc ....
It is difficult to understand that if a person meets the vast majority of these requirements, and always presents egregious articles of special quality, he is neither seen nor applauded with votes!
It is simply invisible! Unnoticed by the great curators.
And I repeat my question to all those who may read this protest:
What can and should do a user who is invisible in the eyes of the CURATORS and needs the unconditional support to be seen, read and voted, besides having the astimulus to continue using this social network and all its services...?
@ocd and @ocdb I appreciate your response.

Saludos @ocdb
@ocd y @ocdb aprecio su respuesta

Incubate and inciminate my next post. I have been forgotten despite being on this blockchain since July of 2016. Well STEEM but you know what I mean. I'm dropping a banger in 10 min.

It's really not in our scope at all, not to mention we don't curate based of people asking us to as you can imagine the spam fest of link drops that would ensue.

Oh for sure dude, I'm wasted right now and that is when I feel like I do my best work actually which brings up a really bad situation because I can't be wasted all the time but actually @davedickeyyall is always lit when he does his posts........... so I guess he proved me wrong

No worries, we state in the OCD community which genre's we usually don't touch. Might wanna move away from DTUBE as well, though, they're not that hive friendly and haven't really heard about any real development going anywhere. @threespeak might be a better choice.

The DTube situation is interesting to me because I'm able to post there and it posts to Hive, Steem, and Blurt for me which is efficient and I'm curious to see overtime if the tokenomics over there will actually work out pretty solid. Also another interesting thing to me is they tokenized it on the Binance Smart Chain so I can connect over there and trade through Pancake Swap. Another aspect I find interesting is that it is mainly a curation place so technically a person can post other videos and you just don't check the box that says "original content" when you post. I haven't done a lot of that but I could see how people could come in and have accounts that mainly focused on that. I don't know. It is an interesting case study. With Three Speak, I had issues with it in the past trying to be on there and finally I just gave up with it. I might swing back around to it.

Why would you want to post on Steem?

A lot of us stayed out of the war and are just posting our content on everything we can. I see some advantages to STEEM and how it is currently structured and see other advantages to HIVE. I like the faster powerdown cycle on STEEM and you can earn a little bit of TRON over there. Also when the STEEM Backed Dollar is high rewards are comparatively good if a person has decent power. I personally haven't had an issue over there but most of the people still over there don't have tons of Steem Power.

Hi. Many thanks to @ocdb for this excellent incubation program that remains and develops effectively. Very good posts that I have been able to read in most of the communities I frequent.

I recently subscribed to a new community for artists, makers, crafters and artisans. I would love for you to take a look. It is just getting started, however I see some very good content over there. It's called @hivearte.

There are many other interesting ones that have been created to expand the range of communities in which we can leave our ideas, knowledge and experiences, such is the case of @Be Entrepreneur, designed for the formative growth of entrepreneurs.

Thanks again for supporting our content. Best regards.

Thank you @ocdb for the generous support on my post! Very much appreciated :)

I’m not sure if it has the potential to grow enough to be of interest to the incubation program, but QuenaSabor is a niche community for wind instruments and player music. I’ve been posting contests and content there for about a year now and will continue to do so, but would love to see other musicians posting there work in the community.

I’ve noticed that even people who are playing quenas are preferring to post in larger communities like Music, ThreSpeak or similar - do you have any tips on how I can attract people to post in this community which was built specifically for them?

Thanks!

good good bro
