Well, well. I finally decided to take the plunge and delve back into the world of Blockchain Blogging, ha! ๐ ๐ ๐

I used to blog religiously back in the days of Steemit, however, as I'm sure many of you are aware, things got a little messy towards the latter stages. Not that it's an excuse to Ghost the way I did. There was more to it than that and I guess it was just a culmination of frustrations that ended up in me deciding to step away for a while... a 3-year while ๐
Without getting into too much detail, please allow me to tell you a bit more about me, who I am, and why I'm back.
So, let's throw the above paragraph in reverse and start with:
Why I'm back?
My aunt, @lizelle, has been mentioning to me regularly about the Hive platform. She has powered through the BS and made fantastic progress here, which I'm very proud of. I've seen some other fellow bloggers from the earlier days, many of whom were part of @teamsouthafrica, also making great strides. I'm Super Proud of you all!
The above is more motivation than reason, I suppose. The main reasons would be my joy for writing, making a few more friends, having a few chuckles along the way, and building towards a more sustainable future. Yes, I'm not going to mollycoddle anything. Covid has been detrimental in many ways, but more on that going forward.
Who am I?
I'm a Cape Town, South African-based father of two. @jusipassetti is my wife and we have a ton of pets, more specifically, dogs and cats ๐ถ ๐ฑ๐ถ ๐ฑ๐ถ ๐ฑ๐ถ ๐ฑ

I'm sure you're right. In personally don't believe in the idea of retirement and live here in Thailand surrounded by expat retirees. LOL. I don't have any intention of ever retiring, per se, and a lot of what I blog about is connected to my business. It just doesn't seem a very good fit. But I will wander over and have a look-see sometime, I promise.

I Googled Sally Golding, Cape Town and came across a divorce coach. Is that the same person? If so, should our paths cross, I believe it would be in a social setting ๐
haha... yes... same person. she works as a counsellor with a company called The Naked Divorce. Her husband works for a brewery so they do tend to be pretty social... a much better plan! ๐

Hopefully @jusipassetti also follows suit. Peakd.com is really the best (in my old eyes at least) for blogging here on Hive. As @livinguktaiwan & @fionasfavourites said, it's a good idea to replace your links' domain as that old platform left a rather bitter taste.

Welcome back @therneau! Word to the wise: you'll find those posts on hive, too. When we hived off (ha!) all our content came with us. You'll also find that PeakD which replaced, OMG, I can't remember the old iteration, has improved in leaps and bounds. I know @lizelle is glad to have you back (yes we were talking behind your back...lol) and do just give a shout if you get stuck. I'm still on discord - same old handle lol!
