Finally, round 134 is over, but I'm still busy admiring collages. After all, almost 160 works of art participate in this round and most of them are worth much more than just a single glance.
@shaka's template photo 134 was a great stimulus for inspiration. Needless to say, I also desired to do something with it. As you may know, I participate just for fun and of course out of competition.
Nun ist Runde 134 vorbei, doch ich bin noch immer damit beschäftigt, Collagen zu bewundern. Immerhin nehmen fast 160 Kunstwerke an dieser Runde Teil und die Meisten davon, sind viel mehr als nur einen einzigen Blick wert.
@shaka's Vorlagenfoto 134 war ein echter Inspirationstreiber. Klar, dass ich damit auch etwas machen wollte. Wie du ja eventuell weiß, nehme ich allerdings nur zum Spaß und selbstverständlich außer Konkurrenz teil.
About the collage
Actually, I wanted to create something about Gilgamesh, but I quickly lost my focus on that. Then I suddenly had a lot more fun creating the ancient ruins of temples in the jungle.
It's quite possible that this was because I was playing Wagner's Götterdämmerung to dope my Muse.
From timpani beat to timpani beat, I got more lost in my imagination, which sent me on a fascinating journey of exploration. Just like being Indiana Jones himself.
The thrilling feeling as I saw Enki's decaying temple rising from the treetops of the jungle was quite difficult to express in picture and color. I am not sure to what extent I was successful. So I hope this spirit can be felt at least a tiny little bit in my collage.
Über die Collage...
Eigentlich wollte ich etwas zu Gilgamesh machen, aber rasch verlor ich den Fokus darauf. Denn es machte mir plötzlich viel mehr Spaß, alte Tempelruinen im Dschungel zu erschaffen.
Gut möglich, dass daran Wagners Götterdämmerung schuld war, die ich abspielen lies, um meine Muse zu dopen.
Von Paukenschlag zu Paukenschlag, verlor ich mich jedenfalls mehr in meiner Fantasie, die mich auf eine spannende Entdeckungsreise sandte. So als sei ich Indiana Jones selbst.
Das aufregende Gefühl, als ich Enkis zerfallenen Tempel aus den Wipfeln des Dschungels ragen sah, war schwerlich in Bild und Farbe auszudrücken. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, wie sehr es mir gelungen ist. So hoffe ich, dass man diesen Geist wenigstens ein klein Wenig in meiner Collage wahrnehmen kann.

What is LMAC?
LMAC is a great community and contest for artists of all skill levels. The name of the community is an abbreviation and stands for "Let's make a collage".

Danke dir vielmals. Wär ich eben noch gestanden, hätte mich dein Lob glatt aus den Latschen befördert. :-)
Obendrein sehr motivierend, da ich für dieses Bild das erste Mal besonders schwer Gebrauch von sogenannten "Light Patches" gemacht habe. In dem Fall also, 4 oben liegende "Linear light" Ebenen mit extra Licht (Farbe), das je nach Position in der Tiefe variiert. Wirklich faszinierend, was das mit der Bildtiefe macht. Hab also was Neues in dieser Runde gelernt.
The scene reminds me of those treasure hunting movies. The placements of images and colour tone are excellent and look very realistic.
