Bracing Against Failures

in Project HOPE4 years ago

In life, people have always been taught to hope for the best and for to hope for successes but it does not mean you should not brace up and get ready for the worse. This may sound direct but the truth is, if you do not prepare for the downside and it happens, you will be caught unawares and you may be a victim of failure. Trust me, life does not always follow a set down rules, neither does it get solved by formulas.

What you make out of life is not a function of what your situation brings to you but your response to the situation. How you react to failure will show if you are on the path of success or failure. I remember what one of China's greatest mentors once said and I paraphrase:

The glory of China does not lie in not falling but it lies in standing up each time she falls. - Confucius

This is just to let you know that no one is a failure until they have accepted their fallen state. That someone failed at an attempt does not mean that the person cannot succeed at the next attempt and it does not mean that the person is a failure. What differentiates failures from successful people is just "one more trial".

Successful people are not those have never seen failures in their lives but those that have learnt from their failures to be better and more equipped for the next trial. Anyone that does not learn from their failed attempts will stand the risk of failing again at the subsequent trials. Believe me, if you cannot point out to the particular reason you failed in the first attempt, then the same mistake may repeat again in the next trials.

The truth is, you cannot be trying out a particular thing with the same format you used when you failed and expect to succeed at it. Success is neither by chance nor does it happen accidentally - it is planned and executed. If you need another result different from what you had before, then it is necessary for you to change both your approach and your format.

Your goals and your ambition may remain static but your approaches should be dynamic. Once "plan A" does not work, then do not get yourself tied down with that plan, quickly switch to another plan. The primary aim is to hit the goal, whichever way and pattern you choose is secondary and entirely up to you but one thing should be certain: if you are working and hoping for the best, also brace yourself and get ready for the downside.

Peace on y'all

Always my pleasure boss. One love.

A good reflexive post @samminator
Falling to get up is not falling... I heard that some time ago, and I consider it very true.
One cannot always pretend to win, to come out on top, even though we have been taught that in a good way. Making mistakes is part of the game of life, but you have to learn from it, get up and keep going.

Learning from mistakes will make the person to be better at the next attempt. Just like you said, it is part of the game.
Thanks a lot buddy

Hello friend a great publication, I agree we must always be prepared for anything, life is not always as we wish or expect, there are also good and bad surprises and we must be able to face them.

That's the absolute truth. We must be ready to face life as it comes.
