Family is Everything

I was asked what was most important in my life, and I replied that it was family. Personally, I think of family as including people who are significantly more essential in your life than just those to whom you are biologically related.

The people who have supported you the most during your most difficult times deserve to be called family rather than merely friends.Throughout my life, I have encountered strangers who have helped me feel more at home, and the love they have shown me has been the pivotal moment in my redefining of family.

I'm sure there are lots of folks who have experienced something similar. Even your closest family can't always give you the sense that you truly belong. In Ghana, where we have an extended family system, family traditionally extends beyond your biological parents or siblings.

I have spent the majority of my childhood years with the extended family but having made a tonne of friends throughout the years from all over the world and from my job, my church, my college, and my place of employment, I discovered those who can really be called family.

I've learnt to appreciate those with whom I've spent the most of my life. People are the most important thing to me in this world. Anyone who has been close to me in my circle of friends is one of my most valuable assets. I recognise that the people you know and have connections with are more valuable than money.

When it comes to money, I believe that the most valuable assets I will chose over money are those I call family; they are everything to me.
We live in a world where many people's love for others have become cold as a result of how they have rewarded their love or kindness with wickedness.

Nonetheless, there are still decent individuals around who remind us of the need of continuing to do good and establish good relationships. When you locate those good people, you should never let them leave since they are valuable assets worth far more than money.
