How Do We Choose The Highlighted Posts?

All of you must be wondering how we picked the authors who get into the highlight. As some of the good curation projects out there, our highlighted authors are also handpicked to ensure that we diversify the content and the recommendations in the highlight. We want this highlight to be a place where people get inspiration, a place to learn something new, and even finding a recommendation.

Hence, throughout the week, the moderators will check the community and manually hand pick the posts. Some factors includes : the post subject, post quality, engagement, personal voice, and general effort.

Here are five highlighted entries and posts from HivebookClub this week in no particular order:

AuthorTitleDescription
@gleceriobertoEnrich Your Faith: The Shack (Book Review)''I was apprehensive about my expectations of the book because I haven't heard of it before. Second, stories about encounters with God, for me, are a delicate subject. And third, it was a book recommendation and that means being prepared to have a stand about my views of the book.''
@stairway2heaven[ENG - ESP] Hamlet: Revenge and Duty William Shakespeare // Hamlet: La venganza y el deber (Review - Reseña)''One of the aspects that I enjoyed reading this play is the psychological aspect, since Prince Hamlet questions if the presence of the ghost of his father is real and not only that, the weight it has due to the demand of it to avenge his death, then we can see how the sanity of our character collapses and corrupts between questioning that experience, the cruel intentions of his uncle and his obligation to kill him giving him a terrible psychological burden leading him gradually to his eventual madness.''
@filoriologoConfessions of St. Augustine [ENG-ESP]Confesiones de San Agustín''Although it is popularly known for being a religious text, it cannot only be read from that perspective. In fact, the first time I came across this text was in my second year of college, in a course called "Medieval Philosophy" also known as the Christian philosophy period.''
@wolfofnostreetPop Goes The Weasel - A Review''The Alex Cross series is one of the most prominent works of James Patterson. It features detective Cross who's a homicidal detective, psychologist and a loving father to his kids. In trying to solve criminal cases, he conquers the bad guys and keeps his family safe from their threats''
@neiraurdanetaReasons why I detest Interview with the vampire - Review EN/ES''This novel is a journey through his life that reveals mature love, giving himself opportunities despite adversities, challenges and obstacles along the way. The transformation of an adult woman, capable of taking on challenges and being focused on different situations. Finally, Isabel manages to be that peaceful, calm, self-confident woman who achieved happiness next to the man she loves and her family.''
