What world would you want to live in? This is an interesting question to ask, and one I think not enough people ask themselves. It can take the course of mere intellectual gymnastics; think, for example, Plato’s The Republic.

The Scarecrow's Daughter is a children's novel that can be read from the age of 12, written by Maria Gripe, a Swedish author who died in 2007, whose children's stories and novels for children have been translated into more than ten languages and has won numerous awards, including the Hans Christian Andersen (1974), considered by many as the "Children's Nobel Prize for Literature".

Hello dear friends of Hive and this beautiful community of Hive Book Club, I hope you are well and that you are having a great day. On this occasion I want to share with you a book I read a few weeks ago and I didn’t know how to review it, not that the book is bad because it is not, but I didn’t have the right words to share this story. This is a short story that goes from Ireland to Prague and then to New York, a story that I found very exciting, honestly I read it in 3 days of how glued I was with him 😅, also, today I started to investigate a little and the legend of the Moiras (the three goddesses of destiny) is real, Cloto (Spins the thread of life) Laquesis (weaves the destiny) Atropos (cuts the thread of life). I really liked that the author used this legend of the Moiras to make this wonderful story and I hope you like it too:

Moving past the saving part and walking towards investing was the highlight of the story. This is because a lot of factors that we are asked to learn about today as we journey into the world of investing were revealed to Arkad. Although he learned the most important principle of them all the hard way when he lost all of his first savings to speculations.

The last book I read (in its entirety) was thanks to watching the Shadow & Bone series on Netflix, and obviously, after finishing the second season, I was curious about how different it was from the book. In this review, I won't talk about the series, although I will make a small comparison at the end of this article.

Some time later I too would have asked myself the same question, in the same situation, hovering between guilt and anger. This 'why' is not addressed to anyone in particular, if there had to be someone, it would be ourselves, grateful for this life. A sense of gratitude that transforms guilt into responsibility, making our life a divine mission, for better or for worse. Good and evil are balanced, giving our being human a wider and truer meaning. It must have been hard on those cold winter nights to tell oneself that there is always something to learn, and to be able to neutralise the natural and hypocritical feeling of being a failure.

After having read "It ends with us" I could not stay without reading its sequel called "It starts with us", it starts right where the previous story left off, our protagonists are recently divorced and are learning to deal with the issue of being first time parents and sharing custody of their daughter and it is here when Atlas, Lily's first love, comes back into her life.

What is Hive Book Club?

Hive Book Club is a community made by book lovers, for book lovers. A place where the chaotic minds of writers may punch away words from their keyboards as they share their writing adventures. Where passionate book collectors may rummage through their stacks of books to share and review their latest additions. Outside of our regular curation process, we may create contests for our community to participate in, and earn even more from their posts. If you have a certain theme for a future contest you would like to see, let us know! Be sure to check with us frequently on our various social media platforms to avoid missing out!

How Do We Choose The Highlighted Posts?

For those of you curious as to how you may have been chosen or would like to be chosen in the future in one of these compilations: we scan through the community and read the many posts that the community members write. We then select four or five posts that we believe meet certain criteria and are worthy of sharing with the rest of the community. We aim to keep these selections diverse in style, from writing skills or subject matter.

Hence, throughout the week, the moderators will check the community and manually handpick the posts. Some factors include the post subject, post quality, engagement, personal voice, and general effort. If we choose you, or you happen to stumble across these highlights, please do check out the other posts we feature, and contribute to their curation and engagement!
