Have you ever felt so much pride to keep yourself aloof from someone for whom you had strong feelings born to invade you in body and soul? Well, Mr. Darcy did so with Elizabeth Bennett, whom he did not accept and held back from loving, yet this intelligent and rebellious young lady was full of prejudices, thus denying all the love that was being born for Mr. Darcy due to all the false information and triggered by comments, stories and beliefs that wandered in his mind.
This is the story of a love so strong that such emotions could only defeat such strong walls against love, such as pride and prejudice.
So is the greatest story of love and passion at the beginning of the 19th century, written by Jane Austen many years ago. One of the most popular novels in the world and that despite the time and centuries and still not being in times of the English gentry as it was in the years of 1813, is still happening and is one of the main causes of separation of great loves.

Esta es la historia de un amor tan fuerte que dichas emociones sólo podrían derrotar tan fuertes murallas en contra del amor, tales como el orgullo y el prejuicio.
Así es la historia de amor y pasión más grande a inicios del siglo XIX, escrita por Jane Austen hace muchos años atrás. Una de las novelas más populares del mundo y que a pesar del tiempo y de los siglos y aún no estando en tiempos de la alta burguesía inglesa como lo era en los años de 1813, sigue ocurriendo y es una de las principales causas de separación de grandes amores.

This great book shows us a story that is still being repeated today, but it was created in a time when the environment was even more morally demanding, since today we live in a society more for appearance and vanity than for position, education and power.
Jane Austen really stood out for this incredible novel, which has had many movies in the film industry, but my favorite and the one that best or exactly adapts to the book and the characters is Pride and Prejudice of 2005, with actors Keira Knightley as the character of Elizabeth Bennett, *Matthew Macfadyen as the character of Fitzwilliam Darcy and of course the also renowned actress Rosamund Pike who played the character of Elizabeth Bennett's older sister, named Jane Bennett.
En los inicios del siglo XIX todo era sociedad, economía, apellidos reconocidos y con gran poder económico o social, la burguesía inglesa no sólo se unía en matrimonio por amor, sino por bienes, por dinero, por posición social, si alguna señorita carecía de estos beneficios sería probablemente una mujer destinada a la desdicha o vendida por así decirlo al mejor postor.
Este grandioso libro nos muestra una historia que en la actualidad se sigue repitiendo, pero fue creada en una época donde el entorno era aún moralmente más exigente, ya que hoy se vive en una sociedad más por apariencia y vanidad que por posición, educación y poder.
Jane Austen realmente destacó por esta increíble novela, la cual ha tenido muchas películas en la industria del cine, pero mi preferida y la que mejor o exactamente se adapta al libro y a los personajes es la de Orgullo y prejuicio del año 2005, con los actores Keira Knightley como el personaje de Elizabeth Bennett, Matthew Macfadyen como el personaje de Fitzwilliam Darcy y por su puesto la también reconocida actriz Rosamund Pike quien interpretaba al personaje de la hermana mayor de Elizabeth Bennett, llamada Jane Bennett.

Anyway, what I love about the book is first of all its history, its time and that it clearly describes the story of a large family in the years 1813, where a marriage that was going through a low economic level had 5 daughters, and the novel tells their stories of love, madness, behaviors and adventures of these young women.
Of course, the main role is played by the Bennett's second daughter, Elizabeth Bennett and her great love, Mr. Darcy. A novel that grabs you from the first moment you start reading it, no matter how many years go by, it grabs you as you read it and leaves you fascinated, it also causes a series of emotions that leave you in a sway of sensations as if you were living the book in your own being and I am not exaggerating.
It makes you get into the story, feel every word, every emotion, every repressed love, it makes you believe the prejudices of the story, it makes you in a few words feel everything that the main characters and even what Jane Bennett, the older sister usually feels in her moment of misfortune and pain.
En fin, lo que amo del libro es en primera su historia, su época y que claramente suele describir la historia de una familia numerosa de los años 1813, donde un matrimonio que estaba pasando por un bajo nivel económico había tenido 5 hijas, y la novela relata sus historias de amor, locura, conductas y aventuras de estas jóvenes.
Por su puesto que el papel principal es de la segunda hija de los Bennett, Elizabeth Bennett y su gran amor, el Sr Darcy. Una novela que te atrapa desde el primer momento en que comienzas a leerla, no importa cuántos años sigan pasando, te atrapa al leerla y te deja fascinado, además que te causa una serie de emociones que te dejan en un vaivén de sensaciones tales como si estuvieras viviendo el libro en tu propio ser y no exagero.
Te hace meterte en la historia, sentir cada palabra, cada emoción, cada amor reprimido, te hace creer los prejuicios de la historia, te hace en pocas palabras sentir todo lo que los personajes principales e incluso lo que Jane Bennett, la hermana mayor suele sentir en su momento de desdicha y dolor.

Few books really cause you these feelings, most have parts of sexual description, or sexual desires described to perfection to make you feel what the characters are going through in the story, but this particular book does not need that kind of descriptions to make you feel passion because the few but deep words of love of the characters detonate this kind of feeling.
The time in which this book is told I love it, since letters were used a lot as a means of communion, and I love letters hahahaha, it's amazing how they managed to make each word really express everything they wanted to communicate, my favorite letters in the whole novel without a doubt are those of Mr. Darcy, seriously they didn't need to say: I am in love, or I love you, to express all the fire of passion and love he felt for Elizabeth Bennett and that leaves you breathless.
Pocos libros realmente te causan estás sensaciones, la mayoría tienen partes de descripción sexual, o deseos sexuales descritos a la perfección para lograr que sientas lo que los personajes están pasando en la historia, pero este libro en particular no necesita de ese tipo de descripciones para hacerte sentir pasión ya que las pocas pero profundas palabras de amor de los personajes detonan este tipo de sensación.
La época en la que se relata este libro me encanta, ya que se utilizaba mucho como medio de comunión las cartas, y yo amo las cartas jajajaja, es increíble como lograban que cada palabra realmente expresara todo lo que querían comunicar, mis cartas favoritas en toda la novela sin duda son las del Sr Darcy, en serio no necesitaban decir: estoy enamorado, o te amo, para expresar todo el fuego de la pasión y amor que sentía por Elizabeth Bennett y ya eso te deja sin aliento.

One of the last letters where Mr. Darcy expresses his reasons, his emotions and all his love is the one that made me swallow thickly, because I really felt in Elizabeth Bennett's place when I read it, since many times we tend to have prejudices against someone and we walk away having as a reason, only what we have created in our mind towards a person, even when we are loving them more than ever.
That makes us judge that love and we hurt ourselves many times unnecessarily, when in fact the other person has done nothing to deserve it. On the other hand, pride is one of the main reasons for separation or even worse, losing the opportunity to really get to know the person we love.
As I said before, these feelings of pride and prejudice still happen, no matter how much of an era difference there is, it still happens but to read this novel is to experience living in that era of the early 19th century.
Una de las últimas cartas donde el Sr Darcy expresa sus razones, sus emociones y todo su amor es la que me hizo tragar grueso, pues realmente me sentí en el lugar de Elizabeth Bennett al leerla, ya que muchas veces solemos tener prejuicios en contra de alguien y nos alejamos teniendo como razón, sólo lo que hemos creado en nuestra mente hacia una persona, incluso aún cuando estemos amándola más que nunca.
Eso nos hace enjuiciar a ese amor y nos lastimamos muchas veces innecesariamente, cuando en realidad la otra persona no ha hecho nada para merecerlo. Por otro lado está el orgullo que es uno de los principales motivos de separación o peor aún de perder la oportunidad de conocer realmente a esa persona amada.
Como lo dije antes, estos sentimientos de orgullo y prejuicio aún siguen ocurriendo, por mucha diferencia de época que exista, sigue sucediendo pero leer esta novela es experimentar el vivir en aquella época de los inicios del siglo XIX.

Jane Austen, the British writer, wrote many novels, many books, and even the sequel to Pride and Prejudice, but undoubtedly this book was the best of all in my personal opinion, not all the stories created at that time usually catch the reader today.
I admire her work and everything she wrote in her years of life, and this book in particular I highly recommend it, it has many stories that despite the time are still happening today, young girls with more clothes than brains, other young women crazy and rushed to experiment without measuring the consequences, others suffering for a love that a wrong comment managed to separate and so all end up falling into the prejudices of that time and the pride and arrogance that still exists today.
I read this book more than 9 years ago and one day watching TV I started to see a movie, by the way, I am attracted to movies with previous times, so when I saw it I felt that I had already seen some scenes before, when I started to hear the names of the characters I realized that it was about this book and it was that Pride and Prejudice movie from 2005 that I was watching, the ones I mentioned before.
Jane Austen la escritora británica, escribió muchas novelas, muchos libros, he incluso sigue la secuela de Orgullo y Prejuicio, pero sin duda este libro fue el mejor de todos en cuánto a mi opinión personal, no todas las historias creadas en esa época suelen atrapar en la actualidad al lector.
Admiro su trabajo y todo lo que escribió en sus años de vida, y este libro en especial lo recomiendo muchísimo, tiene muchas historias que a pesar de la época siguen ocurriendo hoy en día, jovencitas con más ropa que cerebros, otras jóvenes locas y apresuradas por experimentar sin medir las consecuencias, otras sufriendo por un amor que un equivocado comentario logró separar y así todos terminan cayendo en los prejuicios de aquella época y en el orgullo y arrogancia que hoy en día aún sigue existiendo.
Este libro lo leí hace ya más de 9 años y un día viendo la TV comencé a ver una película, por cierto, me llaman la atención las películas con épocas anteriores, así que al verla sentía que ya había visto antes algunas escenas, cuando comencé a escuchar los nombres de los personajes me di cuenta que se trataba de este libro y fue esa película de Orgullo y Prejuicio del 2005 la que estaba viendo, de las que les mencioné antes.

It caused me the same sensations as the book and I was really enchanted with both, both for this original novel written by Jane Austen as I already mentioned, and for the 2005 movie.
I love when there are stories where love and justice break with any social level, impositions of any level and power, with all pride and with those ideas that we often create in our minds either by others or by ourselves because of stereotypes and indecisions that we often have inside, this book really breaks with all that and much more.
Surely if you are someone who is passionate about reading, who enjoys novels written with great stories of passion and love, whatever the decade or era, you have read this great novel and if you haven't read it yet, what are you waiting for! I'm sure it will fascinate you.

Me causó las mismas sensaciones del libro y realmente quedé encantada con ambas, tanto por esta novela original escrita por Jane Austen como ya lo mencioné, como por la película del año 2005.
Me encanta cuando hay historias donde el amor y la justicia rompen con cualquier nivel social, imposiciones de cualquier nivel y poder, con todo orgullo y con aquellas ideas que muchas veces nos creamos en la mente ya sea por otros o por nosotros mismos a causa de los estereotipos e indecisiones que muchas veces tenemos dentro, este libro realmente rompe con todo eso y mucho más.
Seguramente si eres alguien a quien le apasiona leer, quien disfruta de novelas escritas con grandes historias de pasión y amor, sea la década o época que sea, has leído esta grandiosa novela y si aún no la has leído, ¿¡Qué esperas!? Estoy segura te fascinará.

¡Hola! Me encanta la edición del libro que esta en la portada del post, es preciosa, una de mis favoritas. Personalmente no leí el libro, sino que lo escuché en audiolibro. Fue mi primer audiolibro y como primera experiencia estuvo muy buena. Concuerdo con lo que decís de que Jane Austen sabe muy bien como transmitir los sentimientos de los personajes, tanto que no hace falta escenas subidas de tono para poder percibir el anhelo y el deseo. Amé la película también ❤️
No imagino la experiencia de haberlo escuchado por audiolibro, seguro fue más increíble aún 🤩😍. Con respecto a lo de descripciones sexuales o deseos sexuales, es lamentable que hoy en día casi todos los libros tienen ese tipo de contenido para lograr trasmitir una sensación fuerte pero igual se disfruta sólo que admiro más libros como estos, dónde sin dar detalles ni decir nada sobre lo sexual, se sienta el fuerte deseo al leerlo.
También otro ejemplo de eso, es el libro de Yo antes de ti ese amor entre los protagonistas es puro y tiene mucha pasión que sin tener diálogos sexuales entre ellos, te hace sentirlo.

I think it is the Jane Austen novel that has had more film adaptations. Of this author I read a lot of years ago was his last novel: Persuasion which has also been adapted to film, but the last adaptation I think was in the mid-2000s. A new adaptation of her last book is needed.

Ah, good old Pride and Prejudice - perhaps one of my most favourite lines of literature, 'It is a universal truth...' - but I dunno, I just couldn't love this novel. I think partly this is due to the novel being more of a 'trashy magazine' of its day, and perhaps it doesn't have as much merit in terms of the prose. I do wonder if this novel's celebration is that it was written by a woman, rather than a man - as controversial a that opinion may be, I think there's a lot in it - given in the early 1800s, women simply were not given opportunity to pen novels.
In reality it is a valuable story that today continues to happen even when we are in another era, that is what is admired, the writer in her novel did it by way of criticism in how much those times of the English gentry against the few advantages that had the ladies of low income and everything they had to do for a good future and name among society. What delighted me was that she did it with a love story that managed to break with many stereotypes, prejudices and criticisms of that time, managing to eclipse many until today.
A very good writer, regardless of her gender. Even though in those years it was not very common to see women in the field of literature, she was well received and not all of them achieved that, the criticism was strong, so I do not think it was because she was a woman, which led her to the recognition and popularity of that time. She really was good, and still is in her writings, that has made the film world has adapted many of her novels to this day.
