Vegan chocolate spread with 3 ingredients in 5 minutes

We were buying chocolate spread from stores. I was wondering that I can make it by myself for a while.

Since I read Omega-3 in coconut oil is good for health, I started thinking about using coconut oil for chocolate spread. Then I made it! And it is made of quite minimal ingredients in little time, I must say 5 minutes.

The ingredients are unsweetened cocoa powder, liquid sweetener such as agave syrup or maple syrup, and coconut oil. That's it.

The amount is:

  • unsweetened cocoa powder 15g
  • liquid sweetener 20-30g
  • coconut oil 50g

What you have to do is just mix all together with a spoon (you may need to sift the cocoa powder for some products).

Now I have my chocolate spread for breakfast! The amount in the photo is double the amount written above.

In Germany, it gets warmer and coconut oil is softer in the room temperature. It has a perfect texture but it can be different in the hot summer or cold winter days. I will see how it works and write about it.

最近ココナッツオイルに含まれるオメガ3が健康にいいと高城剛さんの『40代からの認知症予防』という本で読んで、ココナッツオイルをコーヒーにちょっと入れて飲んでいます。高城剛さんといえば、15年くらい前に私がノマドに憧れ始めたきっかけの一人でもあります。

それで、ココナッツオイルを使えばいいのでは??と思い立ち、チョコレートスプレッドを作ってみました。材料も作り方もものすごくシンプルですが、ビタースイートな好みの味です。

材料は、無糖のココアパウダー、アガベシロップやメープルシロップなどの液状の甘味料、そしてココナツオイルだけ。

分量は・・・

  • 無糖ココアパウダー 15g
  • 液体甘味料 20~30g
  • ココナッツオイル 50g

スプーンで全体を混ぜて出来上がり。ココアパウダーによってはふるいにかける必要があるかもしれませんが、うちのどこでも手に入る製菓用のものはだまにならず素直に混ざってくれました。

材料さえあれば朝ご飯の前にぱぱっと作ることもできます。なんせ材料を計って混ぜるだけですから 😁 写真の量は、上に書いた量の2倍です。

ドイツは暖かくなってきて、ココナッツオイルは常温で結構柔らかい状態です。今の季節だと絶妙な柔らかさですが、夏場や冬場はまた違うかもしれません。様子を見てまた書きます。

I was just thinking about getting some chocolate spread!
I pick up the jars every time I go into the grocer's, but then Iread how much sugar is in it and put it down again 😁. I hadn't thought about making my own. I guess you could also use nut butters.

I agree with you about sugar. And also I wonder palm fat is good or not. Nut butter is a good idea. It will be Nutella-ish (Nutella is really big here in Germany) 😁

Looks great and healthy. I use to make chocolate at home, made of cocoa, milk powder and butter. Sugar added obviously.

Making my own chocolate might be an interesting challenge. I keep it in my TODO list for winter :)
