Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav - Har Ghar Tiranga - are you patriotic ?

Today is a special day - We are celebrating 75th year of India’s independence. It's known as Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav - that promotes several initiatives. There has been a dedicated site put up to promote all of these : https://amritmahotsav.nic.in/

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and the glorious history of it's people, culture and achievements.

This Mahotsav is dedicated to the people of India who have not only been instrumental in bringing India thus far in its evolutionary journey but also hold within them the power and potential to enable Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of activating India 2.0, fuelled by the spirit of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

The official journey of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav commenced on 12th March 2021 which started a 75-week countdown to our 75th anniversary of independence and will end post a year on 15th August 2023. Following are the five themes of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

And here is how our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi quotes :

The Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav means elixir of energy of independence; elixir of inspirations of the warriors of freedom struggle; elixir of new ideas and pledges; and elixir of Aatmanirbharta. Therefore, this Mahotsav is a festival of awakening of the nation; festival of fulfilling the dream of good governance; and the festival of global peace and development.

Like the history of the freedom movement, the journey of 75 years after independence is a reflection of the hard work, innovation, enterprise of ordinary Indians. Whether in the country or abroad, we Indians have proved ourselves with our hard work. We are proud of our Constitution. We are proud of our democratic traditions. The mother of democracy, India is still moving forward by strengthening democracy. India, rich in knowledge and science, is leaving its mark from Mars to the moon.

And there was a special campaign Har Ghar Tiranga - https://amritmahotsav.nic.in/har-ghar-tiranga.htm. People were inspired to bring the Tiranga home to invoke the feeling of patriotism and then post a Selfie with Flag at https://harghartiranga.com/ - So did it invoke the feeling ? As of writing this, here are the statistics.

har ghar tiranga.jpg

56207433 people have pinned their SELFIES to this site so far. But then there are other social medias. So what next ? Does this suffice to prove that you are patriotic ?

Really ???

I don't think so, and I am not happy to enjoy this kind of freedom. What have we achieved after 75 years of Freedom ? It certainly is a welcome step, to increase awareness about the Indian National Flag, but we need more - we need a self sufficient India, or so called AatmaNirbhar Bharat. And in a self sufficient India, we should have fair competition. You did nice campaign to promote the buzz - One country, one emotion, one identity. But it's far from reality. If it's one identity, then why feed people free at taxpayer's money ? It hurts me. If it's one country, then why reservation after 75 years of freedom ? Why not spend money only to enable them for competition, but make the competition free of reservation ? If its one country, why can't we make a rule for all to apply brake on population, which is the most serious problem ? There are many whys to which, there are no answer. I know, I can't do anything, but I can express my free speech, right ? At least, I have that freedom in a democratic country, right ?

I did not take any selfie because I was doing something more important, to enable my son. For last two days, I have been taking him to a Table Tennis competition at the Indoor stadium ( more to come on that), and I can say its fair - because there is no discrimination based on caste ( called reservation). If we want to be truly patriotic , then we need to develop a culture to work - to compete in a fair way , where skill is the only parameter to decide the best - like sports. Only then we will be AatmaNirbhar Bharat - Self sufficient India.

What do you say ? Wish you all Happy Independence Day 🇮🇳

Big milestone for your country, happy birthday India! :) I hope the generation of your kids will be the one that will start making the changes needed for the goals you mentioned.

Aatma Nirbhar Bharat!

Greetings from the Czech Republic!

@tipu curate

Thank you my friend, I don't think a lot will change until people change. Right now, its like 40 percent people working and feeding the other 60 percent. Unless we develop the culture to work hard, this will continue.

That´s right. The change always starts with the people. There are so many things on Earth that we should improve and while it often seems to be very frustrating and even hopeless, I can see a lot of potential and willingness for all kinds of improvement in the young generations. They will shape the future. Let´s hope they will learn from the mistakes of the past and make this world a better place for all living beings ;)

Happy independence day to you and all indian people, from Greece!

Happy Independence Day to your friendly country is a relatively young celebration only 75 years old
