The problem is mobile users don't benefit the network as much or at all as desktop users. So to MVP this project we are going with a desktop app first then move towards a mobile app. We want to make the experience as seamless as possible on desktop. The priority is a stable, sustainable network, and until that happens everything that does not reach that goal will be sidelined. That being said, mobile users will have options to watch videos (ETA 2 weeks or less) and participate but uploading from mobile is a later item. Don't get me wrong, we are absolutely still going to build a mobile app.
