We had the coolest visit today... in fact it was just 90 minutes ago, when they left people wanted to see the pics to I turned on the computer and downloaded the pictures.
THE STORY
Someone in our group was in her tent and yelled "bears" we came out to see them like 6ft from her tent... so I ran and grabbed the camera. Haha
There were 3 of them, they were super super chill... perhaps that's not a good thing for their health to be so comfortable around humans. But well I took a ton of pictures and they wandered off.
We decided it was mom and two kids. At first I didn't think there was an adult because they were no where near as big as other Grizzlies I've seen in the past... but one of them is for sure the adult because she looks very different.
Apparently they were here the other morning because she says she heard the exact same noises in the same spot behind her tent.
CHECK THAT ONE OFF
On this visit Bear was one of the only thing we haven't seen yet... but now check that off the list. I hope they come back. But that's easy to say for the guy who is inside the perfectly safe airstream while others are in a flimsy tent. Haha
But yeah they're super chill and we've been very very careful not to leave food outside.
Like I said there were three and they scampered up the hill and headed out ... went up the hill a bit later and they were no where to be seen... wasn't gonna go into the trees to find them either. I'll stay in the big clearings thank you... or near the truck or trailer. Seeing a bear in close quarters like in a dark forest is not on my list but they can come back when it's daylight and I'm near a door i can shut. haha
Someone must have said smile and this guy tried his hardest.
