CCC's Street Art Contest #103 ~ StreetArt in PARIS - France πŸ‡«πŸ‡· Part 5

in StreetArt β€’ 2 years ago

Hi all πŸ‘‹πŸ»

Today I want to share with you some more StreetArt finds in Paris. This time we go to the 10th Arr. ~ France πŸ‡«πŸ‡·
I found something entirely different than the normal graffiti / murals 😎 I show you today a Bas-relief wall carving.

I visited this beautiful city beginning of the month of July 2022 as most know by now. And I just loved the amount of StreetArt I saw all around me… it was just amazing to say the least. πŸ˜‰ The most I ever saw in one place. So you will see StreetArt from all over Paris in the next weeks… stay tuned! I will, going forward, mix it up again with other places.

The first photo will be my entry into the β€œCCC's Street Art Contest #103” hosted by @digi-me
Thank you @trincowski, @heroldius, @melinda010100, @ecency, @tobetada and @arcange and many more for supporting this contest!

‼️If you want to know more about this contest: have a look at @digi-me ’s POST HERE!‼️

Photographs in this post I took on my iPhone on 3 July 2022

Let’s have a look at what else I found in Paris.

Artist: ALEXANDRE FARTO aka Vhils
Title: Part of Scratching the surface
Location: Rue Ambroise ParΓ©, 10th Arr. in Paris
Work Created in 2019

His Website you find here!

This plaque with information states the following:
(I translated with Google translate for you)

”Alexandre Farto, better known as Vhils, first became known for his interventions in the urban space, in particular his large-format portraits carved on the walls in an approach questioning the role of architecture and the place of man in the urban environment.

For him, walls are not static and lifeless, on the contrary, they are organic surfaces that absorb what surrounds them and resonate with their environment. The successive layers that compose them preserve the memory of the places, the marks of history, and thus give each city and every quarter its particular character.

Proyecto Scratching the Surface, 2019
Bas-relief wall carving
Approx. 250 Γ— 650 cm

Located near the LariboisiΓ¨re Hospital, the work carried out is part of his emblematic project entitled "Scratching the Surface", which has already led him to create large-format frescos on the walls of about thirty countries around the world.”

Closer look at his signature.

Beautiful detail of this work πŸ₯°

From the side…

A different angle πŸ˜‰

I really like this work done by Vhils, what do you think of it?

Have a wonderful day today

wow this is incredible. IΒ΄ve seen such art before but this one looks amazing

It sure does @betterthanhome 😎 I like it. Very cool to see from afar and close by.
Thanks for visiting. Have a wonderful Wednesday πŸ‘‹πŸ»πŸ˜Š

Wow! The details are amazing! I have never seen anything like it. This makes the paint on the wall pale in comparison!

It is so great to see Denise. Something else than just paint. I like it a lot πŸ₯°
I have seen another artist that creates such work. But he doesn’t use carving or a chisel. He uses dynamite, perfectly placed in very small amounts to create this on surfaces… also great to see. Can’t remember his name, but when I do, I let you know.
Have a lovely Wednesday @dswigle πŸ‘‹πŸ»πŸ˜ŠπŸ€—

Good morning! I'm enjoying this artwork over a cup of coffee now imagining I'm in Paris, being able to travel vicariously through your post.

The successive layers that compose them preserve the memory of the places, the marks of history, and thus give each city and every quarter its particular character.

That is something! The way he composed the artwork also speaks volumes.

Good afternoon @discoveringarni i’m doing the same, going over Hive with a cup of cappuccino in the morning hehehe 🀭
Glad you enjoyed this post and could imagine being there πŸ₯°

He is great, love his work. It is truly something else.
Enjoy your day further πŸ‘‹πŸ»β˜€οΈ
