This week I've done quite a few posts about the See Monster, hopefully you're not bored to death about it yet!!! In my last post I showed you some photos of the amazing drone show, but to be honest the photos don't do the show justice at all. During the final show, I decided to make a video of the drone show so you can view it (virtually) live to experience this awesome event.

In the afternoon, I went down to the beach where the drone show was to be held. I wanted to take some photos and other clips for my video. And the most important thing was that I managed to get exclusive access to the back stage where the drones are laid out on the platform on the beach ready to take off. Normally the team are very busy just before the show, but Sophie from the organizers was really great and squeezed out some valuable time to show me around. I was able to get up close and personal to the 400 drones. If you haven't see 400 drones before, this is what it looks like. Isn't it so ultra cool!!!

Later on in the evening, I went down a bit earlier than usual to bag a good spot to take my video. It was already jam packed with people. The event organisers reckons around 30 thousand people have attended the previous two shows. Not bad for our town which only has around 90 thousand population!!!

I passed by the drones again, they were already lit up ready to start the show.

Luckily I managed to get a great spot right by the sea front where I was able to sit on the wall above the beach. That made it a lot easier for me to hold my camera still for 10 minutes and to get better video quality, and to not have any people's heads moving in front of me.

Now all that's left if for you to watch the video. I hope you enjoy it. Would love to know what you think!!

I’m not normally one to stay to the end of a 13 minutes video but man I didn’t even want this to end! The transitions are so smooth and lively. I’m curious how you knew UNBOXED was the last animation to shoe though. The way you turned the camera was almost like someone told you “hey, this is the last animation and nothing will show after this”.

I don’t know why most of my references have something to do with movies. But seeing this kinda reminds me of Mysterio ( villain from Spiderman) using drones to create near-perfect illusions.

Also, this was my first time seeing you talk. You have a beautiful voice.

Thanks 😊

They did three shows and I went to the two previous ones already so know the sequence well!

So cute to watch Skynet in it's infancy.

Very cool you got the behind the scenes look. I liked the silky creature at about 7min in. When Skynet comes for me I hope it looks like that.

Getting behind the scenes was really awesome, luckily the organisers were really supportive about it. The silky creature is the wind as the See Monster is about the great British weather, hence the umbrella and the sun, the wind turbine etc.

It was just perfect. I felt like I was hypnotized. 400 drones doing something in synchronization. Wow! I would have loved to see it live.

It was truly an awesome experience, so good I went to see all three shows

Wow this is fantastic. So cool to see them lined up like that and imagine the planning and programming that had to go into them to make that coordinated show. Thanks for posting them to our group!

It's the first time I've seen a show like this and the fact it was in my home town and organised by the leading production house (so I was told) made it that mega special. Sophie was really supportive of my request and we chatted a bit about all the prep and stuff and how they did rehearsals at 2am in case they couldn't fly the drones due to weather.

Oh my gosh I would loved to have been there. I’m a fan of drones and own a few, not enough to put on a show!

Great music, do you know who was behind that part of it.

Enjoyed your video too. Will you do more of those?

The show was produced by Skymagic, they did the Commonwealth Games and London NYE recently so it was really cool they did this at our little town.

I haven't done English videos for a while, used to do quite a lot of travel ones. Been concentrating on Chinese speaking ones in the past 18 months. I may start doing English ones again.

Glad you enjoyed the show!

The creativity and patience that must go into the chorography of that whole thing is amazing! Thanks so much for sharing this!

Sophie the girl in the video did tell me how long it took to prepare all this but I was quite overwhelmed with filming the 400 drones that I didn't pay attention to what she was saying ☺️

The project is amazing, the army of drones looks cool, reminds me Star Wars. The See Monster in night looks completely different with a lot of different lights around. I am sure peopple enjoyed being there.

They drone show and the vibe during it was awesome. Still waiting for the See Monster to open so people can actually go on it, that would be so cool

This drone show is amazing, I've seen something just as spectacular in Paris at Disneyland for Disney's 30th anniversary, the people who control them are really professionals.
I guess you could call it an experience you don't get to have every day.

I remember they used to do fireworks at Disney every night, but drones are much more environmentally friendly and versatile. These shows are certainly a great experience!

I went this spring to Disneyland in Paris, and there for Disney's 30th anniversary they used drones for the show.
The drones used at such shows are different for example from the one I have, they have much more functions, they are more powerful.

That was absolutely amazing!
I must admit when I saw all 400 lined up, I thought it was like something out of Star Wars.
Yes it was awesome and cool, just makes you think how they can program them like that, that it won't be long before they do it themselves and we could be in trouble!
Loved the Clash and Tears for Fears at the end.
Great video and it was cool for you to see them set up and how they work etc.
The See Monster moving was awesome, it reminded me of Nessie!

Weston-Super-Mud has a history of being a bit left of mainstream as far as art goes I remember Dismaland back in the late 90s organised by Banksy it was a hoot. Obnoxious staff awful food really a great fun day out.

waoooooooooooooooooo! this beautiful!😀😀😀😀
