Going to Boca de Uchire was a long-awaited family trip🌴 Although Anzoátegui state is far from where I live—and not a destination we can visit often—it was a place that had been on my list for a long time. It's no secret that Caribbean beaches have that unique charm of crystal clear, warm waters that seem to invite you to stay a little longer. And as a lover of the sea, I love discovering new beaches and making my own personal ranking of favorites. But beyond the destination, this trip was an opportunity to enjoy the moment, the days that come, and above all, the joy of sharing with the people I love most.

Ir a Boca de Uchire fue un viaje familiar muy esperado🌴 Aunque el estado Anzoátegui queda lejos de donde vivo —y no es un destino que podamos visitar con frecuencia—, era un lugar que tenía en mi lista desde hace tiempo. Para nadie es un secreto que las playas del Caribe tienen ese encanto único de aguas cristalinas y cálidas que parecen invitarte a quedarte un rato más. Y como amante del mar, me encanta conocer playas nuevas y hacer mi propio ranking personal de favoritas. Pero más allá del destino, este viaje fue una oportunidad para disfrutar del momento, de los días que se presentan, y sobre todo, de la alegría de compartir con las personas que más quiero☀️

After spending the day on the beaches of Mochima, we arrived at Boca de Uchire at sunset. We stayed at a beautiful inn, the kind that makes you feel at home: warm-colored walls, a style somewhere between antique and beachy, balconies overlooking the sea, and every corner lovingly cared for by its owner✨

The next day, I woke up early—because I'm one of those people who is obsessed with watching the sunrise when I'm in a new place—and there I was able to enjoy the views even more. Unlike Mochima (a place made up of small islands), here we were facing the open sea, which was darker in color but just as enchanting. I confess that at first I hesitated to go in, but the heat was unforgiving, and when I did... what a surprise!🤩 The water was warm, soft, almost therapeutic. I spent almost the entire day there, letting myself be carried away by the swaying waves, leaving only to drink water or enjoy lunch: delicious rice with shrimp and mussels fresh from the sea.

Después de pasar el día en las playas de Mochima, llegamos a Boca de Uchire al atardecer. Nos hospedamos en una posada preciosa, de esas que te hacen sentir como en casa: paredes en tonos cálidos, un estilo entre antiguo y playero, balcones con vista al mar y cada rincón cuidado con amor por su dueña✨

Al día siguiente, me levanté temprano —porque soy de esas obsesionadas con ver el amanecer cuando está en un lugar nuevo—, y allí pude disfrutar mejor las vistas. A diferencia de Mochima (un lugar organizado en pequeñas islas), aquí ya estábamos frente al mar abierto, con un tono más oscuro pero igual de encantador. Confieso que al principio dudé en entrar, pero el calor no perdona, y cuando lo hice… ¡qué sorpresa!🤩 El agua era cálida, suave, casi terapéutica. Pasé casi todo el día allí, dejándome llevar por el vaivén de las olas, saliendo solo para tomar agua o disfrutar del almuerzo: un delicioso arroz con camarones y mejillones recién sacados del mar.

Amid laughter, photos, and family gossip floating on the water, it was impossible not to feel happy🌸 The strangest thing was that, even though the beach was right behind the houses and inns, it was completely empty, as if the whole place had been reserved just for us. It was one of those days that fill you with calm and remind you how nice it is to stop and enjoy yourself.

Along with the many kittens and three dogs at the inn, the sound of the waves, and quality time with some of my favorite people, I realized that I also deserve to slow down, enjoy myself without guilt, and let life surprise me a little more. Enjoy every moment as if it were the most special one✨

Entre risas, fotos y chismes familiares flotando sobre el agua, fue imposible no sentirme feliz🌸 Lo más curioso es que, aunque la playa quedaba justo detrás de las casas y posadas, estaba completamente vacía, como si el lugar entero hubiera sido reservado solo para nosotros. Fue un día de esos que te llenan de calma y te hacen recordar lo bonito que es detenerse y disfrutar.

Junto a los muchos gatitos y tres perros de la posada, el sonido de las olas, y el tiempo de calidad con algunas de mis personas favoritas, entendí que también merezco bajar el ritmo, disfrutar sin culpa, y dejar que la vida me sorprenda un poquito más. Disfrutar cada momento como si fuera el más especial✨
