Greetings, Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

It's Saturday once more... and we all know what that means: It's CATURDAY, my favorite day of the week!

Long Time Gone...

Sure has been a long time since we updated the blog. Last I wrote, the Dad-Hooman was getting ready to leave for a few days to go be part of the festivities with the Daughter-Hooman's wedding.

Whereas that all went very well, both the Dad-Hooman and the Mom-Hooman came back home a few days later and were terribly ill with something they called "the flu."

They were definitely not themselves! In fact, I got sincerely worried as the days drew by and they were just not feeling any better.

In the end, it was almost two weeks before the Hoomans of the household seemed to be back to their normal selves!

And that's why we haven't had any Caturday or other updates in a while.

Meanwhile... Winter, in More Ways than One...

Winter has definitely arrived in our little corner of the world. We had that horrible storm three weeks back, and since then it has just been very cold, dark and rainy.

This being "Thanksgiving," I am very thankful that I am a comfy indoor cat, these days... I can't even imagine how horrible it would be to have to fend for myself outside when it is so cold and wet!

My thoughts go out to all the poor kitties who don't have comfy warm homes.

Smudge!

Smudge's Anniversary!

In other news, one of the things we missed posting about is that Smudge passed her first anniversary of living with us, last week.

She has become a close and much beloved member of the family, and seems to fit in quite well with our collective quirkiness and weirdness.... and we are very grateful to have been able to give her a safe and comfortable home in her old age!

Crypto "Winter?"

Meanwhile, it seems like not all is well in the crypto world... this year seems to have been one of just one setback after another.

I was looking back at some of my old "snapshots" from Hive, and it's hard to believe that this time just a year ago, our Hive token was about to reach a new all time high.

Now we sit here, with our tails scraping bottom... more than 80% off that high. It would sure be nice to have a "Santa Claus rally!"

These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Remember, you can also "cross-post" your cat posts to them!

HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!

Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!

Caturday Community by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS! It has a lot of subscribers but is not very active.

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.

Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and typically has quite a bit of cat content!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
