For this weekend's #beersaturday adventure, I found a fresh batch of something new from Toppling to try. Add in a little pre Father's Day grilling fun, and it turned out to be a good #beersaturday.

What a doozy of a beer! This collaboration beer is stacked with hops, and it is delicious. Sitting a cozy 7.8% ABV but having no booze taste whatsoever, I'm 82% certain I might drink this four-pack up tonight in advance of Fathers' Day tomorrow.

This is a delicious beer. Hazy double IPAs, when done right, are absolutely amazing. This one was brewed, fermented, dry-hopped, and packaged correctly. Being two in, I might be feeling it but I can't get enough of it. Very good!

So what was the pre Father's Day feast? Well, as luck would have it, my daughter's daycare provider helped all of the kids make BBQ sauce for us dads. With the BBQ sauce in hand, it was time to charcoal up some chicken thighs and legs for dinner.

Drip pan in place, I grilled the chicken for about 30 minutes on the cold side of the grill before throwing the BBQ sauce on.

Yum, the chicken was delicious, too. My wife cast-ironed up some collard greens and kale from our garden to go with the chicken, and everything turned out perfect.

There it is...a simple enough #beersaturday. I must say, these kind of weekends are the best. Grilling fun and beer; how can life be any better?

I'm not a huge fan of IPAs generally but you make this one sound pretty good. The chicken looks amazing. That's pretty cool that your kids made the BBQ sauce.

Thank you! Yeah, definitely shoot for a fresh (less than 30 days from fill date) hazy IPA. You'll have the best luck with something that is fresh...very delicious!
