Family Trip and Vacation

One way of expressing our love towards our loved ones is by giving them food to eat. It's our nature as human beings that we offer food to whoever visited us. That's one way of saying thank you so much for taking some time to be with us.

Well, way back then our one-month vacation in Dubai I can say that it was one of the best experiences we have had together with my very generous uncle and auntie. We created precious moments of holiday in this must-visit city that lies in both Asia and Africa.

One day, we planned to eat outside and spend some quality time despite how busy my uncle and auntie were there. They find time to have rest days on the same day so that they can spend their precious time with us. Time flies so very fast and they'll make sure that our stay there was all worth it.

My uncle wanted us to try eating Arabic food which is why we went to this restaurant (I forgot the name) for us to experience eating their kind of food there.

My grandmother blessed the food but I was sorry for not paying attention that much because my uncle was very busy taking pictures of us so I made a pose. It turned out that everything was well documented then.

What we have on our table was of course the rice but this time its the biryani rice, some salad, curry soup, meat of chicken, meat of lamb and the famous bread they have there they called Kuboos.

My uncle was not done yet taking pictures. He was very diligent in doing such. He makes sure that once this moment becomes a memory we have something to look back. And yeah, as of this moment when I look back it's good that we have pictures of every moment that happens in our life then.

Before we started eating our dinner there, my uncle gave me one slice of meat from the lamb. He told me that it was very yummy and for sure I'll love it. I was very hesitant to believe him because he was smiling and upon looking at Auntie's face she seemed to smile as well so at the back of my mind something is weird.

Oh, yeah! My instinct was true. Upon a taste of it, oh my it tastes not so good to me because of the strong odor it has. I was about to vomit because it is super grrrr! My grandparents felt sad about it and my aunt scolded my uncle for doing it.

Captured moments of my grandparents having their conversation about the Kuboos that my grandfather was holding. We were entertained by it and kept on laughing at how the way they talked and the gestures they executed made it more fun.

This was my first time seeing this kind of bread they have there. My grandmother and my uncle hold it and I was the one who took a picture of them. Its size is bigger than the human face. The price is worth it then.

Right after we ate our dinner we didn't go home immediately. We stopped under the bridge to get some medicine for the cough. My aunt had her cough during this time and the moment we went to this area for the first time when we wanted to catch a fish because there were so many fish here and my uncle had a license in doing so. That's the moment my grandmother found out that there was a plant there that is a good remedy for the cough.

When they were done getting out of the weeds we never missed this opportunity to have a picture here. The led lights under the bridge make it more attractive to look at. It was such a great place perfect to relax and rest for a while. The cold breeze coming from the sea added to the relaxation that we felt while we were there.

Indeed during this family trip and vacation that we had is the best one. Though my leave of absence this time was without pay, it's all worth it. No such amount of money can suffice for this one-of-a-kind experience that everyone wished for.

That's all for my today's blog. Thank you so much for the time you have spent reading this, I truly appreciate it. Until next time fellow hiveians, see you around. Stay safe and God bless everyone.

First time hearing about Kuboos. I actually thought their food is somewhat like Indian food because you mentioned Biryani. Probably Kuboos is same as Nan, but when you said it has a smell you can't tolerate, okay probably not the same as Nan.

Looking at your relatives' smiling faces made me smile too. You had an amazing bonding time with them. True, bahala na walang pay ung leave mo, parang ang worth it nga naman din kasi.

The meat of the lamb has a strong odor which is why I can't take it gyod ai. The smell of the kuboos is a little bit okay but I didn't try it kasi sabi nila pagkakain ka ng ganun pagdating sa tiyan tutubo at saka sasakit yung tiyan mo. Ewan ko kung totoo ha. Heheheh

Oo nga eh. Bahala na walang sahod for one month makarating lang sa ibang bansa for free okay na okay na talaga. Worth it na worth it.

Family time is always fun and I can see that you had an exciting time. Your grandparents are cool.

Indeed, I agree with you. Thank you so much for your time reading this. God bless.

The kuboos look like pizza crust🙂
