“Your Mental Health is everything — prioritize it. Make the time like your life depends on it because it does.” - Mel Robbins

Life has been so challenging for me these past few years. The challenges I've been through were giving me the bright side and at the same time, the gloomy side. It is giving me the bright side since it gives me the courage and strength to continue living.

IMG_20230313_102216.jpg

On the other hand, it is gloomy since I was depressed for the last two years the fact that people were judging me for believing such rumors that they thought I made a wrong decision, but it was not. That was one of the best decisions that I've ever made for myself since I am now at peace, and also the most important concern that I was addressing at that time was to have stable mental health which I believed was the most important thing to look up to.

Mental Health must be on the list of the concerns of individuals. Mental problems are rampant these days, especially among teenagers. Some individuals cut their lives to avoid and to forget all the problems in the real world.

I, myself, experienced such depressing times when I won't eat and just stay all day in the room. Some people may think that the person is just sensitive and even say that their reactions are just exaggerated, but it was not. Some people should understand that being quiet is already a help instead of just exchanging some gossip with the neighborhood as their leisure time.

Based on my experience, gossiping all day and relaying the rumors could make a bad impact on the person. I even experienced being backstabbed by my relatives. And that experience was one of the factors of my depression, but the good side was that it made me bolder & stronger than before.

Life has its ups & downs. It gives me the heavy loads that I need to carry, but I still have high hopes to continue life. Every person has their own life and struggles, but it is with the person how to handle & overcome them. I have a lot of dreams in my life and one of them is to finish college. That is the dream I want to pursue ever since, but fate changed. Nevertheless, fate still tells me to continue even though I'm already 2 years behind. The dream to pursue college may have stopped, but my determination to achieve it will never fade.

Life is indeed a rollercoaster ride which means life goes on and surely within those rides, there will be happiness and at the same time some obstacles in life. Struggles in life are pretty normal, sometimes they may be depressing to others, but we should put it in our mind that all of these circumstances have been happening because God knows we can overcome them by ourselves. That's why these circumstances are somehow connected to making tough decisions in life because we are controlling our individual lives which means we make decisions by ourselves.

IMG_20230313_143037.jpg

We know that there will always be good decisions and a few bad decisions that could come up which is a situation we can't control. To make it understandable, we are holding & controlling our fate & luck in life through our decision-making. Overcoming such struggles is somehow connected to what process we should undergo before coming up with a decision that could change our lives forever.

My depression affected my life in both ways. It turned me into an introverted person but the good side was that it made me stronger to face struggles in life. I am just thankful that I experienced those problems, because without them, maybe I won't be able to have had the courage to face them.

IMG_20230313_104651.jpg

Our only opponent in this world is ourselves. If we let ourselves go down, then we might go down in general. If we put so much faith in ourselves, then we rise from our problems. As I've said, we make our own stories by balancing our own decisions.

The problems I've encountered so far made me realize how important for us to stay strong despite how hard it is. There is this one line of the song in Rainbow by Southborder, “There's a rainbow always after the rain.” This particular line of the song tells us that all of these experiences are just normal and it is part of life. That is the reality today because we all know how hard it is to cope with such problems by ourselves, but the result of being a courageous person is quite rewarding afterward.

The life I've been through today is challenging already, but I know there will be a lot of challenges as I continue living my life. Life is not easy, so we need to walk on the path with no distractions by just keeping our mental health stable.

Now, I've been giving myself these days the best therapy it deserves by looking at the beautiful nature outside. It is giving me the peace of mind I truly deserve. It is helping me to move on from the bad things that were happening to me. I know how tough life is, but I am tougher.

I do always consider these challenges as a redirected way made by our Creator. When I say a redirected way it means the path that I took years ago wasn't the right way for me to continuously step on. I believe that His plans for me are for the best. I am immensely grateful because these challenges mold me into who I am today. I am holding my life, so it means the future is in my hands.

IMG_20230313_103506.jpg

To those who are reading this just keep going and I am praying you all the best of luck in your future endeavor. We all know that our future relies on our decisions, so we need to balance our decisions in life. We also need to take care of our mental health, and most importantly have faith in God. These challenges won't be easy if it wasn't for Him who continuously guides me toward the right path. Let's continue living our life because we only live once.

That's all for today and thank you for getting this far. May God bless us all and have a blessed day everyone!

It is never too late to pursue your dream! You're such a brave soul. And yes, it's difficult to deal with ourselves at times, but let's not forget to cheer ourselves too, for making it through 🤍

Thank you @cthings! I really agree that we deserve to treat and to cheer ourselves, too. Let's keeping moving forward! 🤍

Truly, depression is a sensitive that a lot of people don't understand some are misinterpreting it as an act of getting attention but it's not. I am on that situation right now, I am stress both school and personal, lately I more prefer to stay at home then sleep rather than attending school activities, however I realize, if I don't move, no one will and nothing will happen.

I've been in that situation and it is sad to know that some were misinterpreting our actions and yet it is true if we will not move, we can't really move forward. We can overcome this @chikakiku, I believe time heals. God bless you!

Our only opponent in this world is ourselves.

I totally agree with this line. ✨

Yes, this is so true @hanyabee! This line is really something I've put in my mind lately and it truly helps me to move forward from the past. 🤍

There will always be positive side after the gloomy days you encounter.

True, life is like a roller-coaster we don't know what will happen every second or minute. Believing in ourselves is the only key to fight against depression. Stay positive😊

I feel you and thank you for that line that there is a rainbow after the rain.

Sometimes I do feel that life is so gloomy like you are constantly in the rain without an umbrella or shelter and that it does not seems to be stopping anytime soon.

Sooner or later it will stop and we can see the rainbow.

Yes, I agree with you. We will always see that rainbow after the rain. Just keep praying! God bless @maverickinvictus! 🙏

<>I believe in you, speaking of you're the only one who can motivate yourself, yuhhh, Beacause that is your self, you can understand it.

Hi tough lady, :)

I really like how hive has become so supportive and a place to open up and talk about depression. I was diagnosed as bipolar when I had my first episode at age 16. I take medicine for that and am stable now, but know just what u felt also..

I also luv south border songs and especially rainbow. (is that the title?) have u heard this cover of it?
