Meet and Greet with Fellow Bloggers '23

A person whom you know virtually has a great impact on your memory. How he looks, how he talks, and how he behaves. It was kinda exciting meeting him personally. That's how I felt when @indayclara told us that @ybanezkim26 will be with us during our second time meeting up together with my fellow bloggers after the onboarding seminar 7 months ago. Except for @missjoycee and @selflessgem, they were from other schools and onboarded by @callmesmile but we're so thankful that they came and joined the fun moments there with us. Our co-educators from the District of Tabogon.

Yay! Butterflies in my stomach started to occur then. Yeah, I am a bit of an introverted person which is why meeting up with new faces of individuals might cause me to be a timid one. But wait, I never expected that the moment I was there, the timidity that I expected to act was not that obvious then. Now here our story begins.

A short notice from our only @indayclara

Without any further notifications, this message popped up on my messenger. I was a bit excited because this moment was one of our most awaited times. We planned to have it a few months ago but it wasn't realized and now the moment has come. Hooray for today!

But actually, I was hesitant about whether to attend or not. Why? It is because of my husband, I am afraid that he will not allow me to join this meet-up because I am pregnant and in my third trimester now. Fortunately, my way of convincing him was effective. He permitted me to join then.

Another notice has popped up...

Yay, the weather was not as good as the day of our meet-up is fast approaching which is why our organizer was alarmed as to go for it or not. Well, the majority were very excited which is why the meet-up was pushed through. Yehey!

We are free to choose what to bring and these were the agreed things that we have to bring during our engagement day. This idea was very good for us to have a variety of foods to eat and beverages to drink. Right? We all know that food is very staple during meeting up with friends or even relatives. It's kinda one way of expressing love towards our friends as well.

How did we get there..?

The first meeting place was not realized, it was changed to another very familiar beach to me which is why it's not difficult for us to be there. I am thankful for @simplychalyns' tuk-tuk and his husband for driving us to get there. This was the main reason why my husband allowed me to join them. He knew that I am secure in going there.

The Venue...

We were at Halfmoon Beach Resort and this was the cottage we stayed for a day. Excuse me for the two lovers there. This place was very familiar to me because this is where we celebrated my son's third birthday. But I think this time there were some changes in this place and of course, for sure it's for the better service they will render towards the customers which is very good.

We were here...

The moment we arrived at the said place, @indayclara was very happy to see us. We hugged and kissed though. I am so honored! She is very sweet opposite to her way of being strict during the mentoring period. But during those times we've learned a lot from her and I am forever grateful for all the input she has shared with us then.

The Man of Substance...

When we were there, I never thought that he is the guy whom @indayclara was referring to. I thought he is her cousin. I even asked them where is sir Ybanez. Is he coming? without even knowing that he is the one in front of me. (Oops, sorry sir.) Well, he just smiled at me and said Hi! And I was like, oh hello sir good morning. It was such a great privilege to meet him personally then.

Photo Opportunity with Him...

While some of the other bloggers were busy grilling the meat, and the fish on the opposite side of the area, we were busy preparing the table where the food will be placed too. And of course, picture-taking will never be missed. From left to right, @ybanezkim26, @missleray, @simplychalyns, yours truly, and @callmesmile. The excitement that I felt was indescribable.

Sir Kim diligently sliced the fruits and vegetables for our salad. Though he is our visitor, he never just sits down and looks at us. He extended a helping hand as well. Such a very nice and warm gesture from you sir which is why we feel a little bit awkward talking to you at first.

Because of that, most of the bloggers left the cottage, and Sir Kim. But @indayclara told us Oh, Why you're all here? Go there pointing at the cottage and spend time talking to him and we were all laughing. Eventually, the shy type of us vanished the moment when we started talking to Sir Kim. He is very nice to talk with. We have learned a lot from him too!

The food is ready! Lunchtime Na! Our sumptuous lunch started with a prayer led by @callmesmile.

Eating time! Serve thyself mode. We will get whatever food we love to eat, Buffet style just eat all we can. In the end, all of us were so full there was a lot of remaining food on the table. But no food was wasted, the leftovers were equally distributed to all of us way back home.

A short program after eating...

When everything was settled after eating, the short program was followed. It was warmly welcomed by @indayclara. Expressing her positive thoughts for regards our coming that day amidst the weather that we had and many more insightful ideas were shared also. She introduced Sir Kim to the body afterward.

Sir Kim had shared his experiences way back then before he enters the hive and now that he is one of the aliens on this platform. He shared about the onboarding program and he informed us that we are now qualified to be an onboarder. Yay! It's time to share what we have learned with another person then and spread about the hive as well.

We had our listening hearts and ears towards Sir Kim. So many things to ponder and think of about the things he has shared. His story inspires me to do more blogs in the future. But as of now, I am pregnant I am not into gadgets which is why I seldom post my blogs then. Nevertheless, I love what I am doing and blogging is one of my outlets to express something.

Supah! I love this day! For sure if I skipped joining them I missed half of my life. Indeed, meeting new faces in person could be of great help in boosting my self-confidence in talking with them. I am thankful for this experience. From this more learnings have been acquired and applicable to oneself if put into action of course. Once again, Thank you so much @indayclara and @ybanezkim26.
