Curator Cat: Helping the Dad-Hooman With His Photography Work!

in HiveCatslast year

Greetings Fine Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia!

Let is not be said that we cats aren't helpful, and always ready to assist our Hoomans with their important projects. After all, thigs are always best done with a cat!

Wait... what's happening here?

This afternoon, I was quietly minding my own business while examining a cardboard box I had not seen before, when I noticed that the Dad-Hooman was starting to bring in some of what he calls his "eBay stuff" and his camera... and started re-arranging some of the table and chairs in the household creative space... clearly with the intention of doing something important.

FilterTreeBetter get up here! Need a good overview!

Curator Cat to the rescue!

Clearly, the photography of small objects cannot be done without assistance from a cat!

The most important thing for a good supervisor is to have clear view of what's going on. If not, how would I know where to best give my help.

Fortunately, the Dad-Hooman was setting up his stuff immediately below my cat perch by the corner windows.

He actually had the nerve to think that he could lay a flat board on top of my perch! I don't really care that he insist that it "gives the best light" because it comes in from two sides. That is MY perch!

There was some groaning and grumping, and he instead went an got a large box and a barstool for his board. I considered taking up residence on the barstool... but decided against it.

Now, I will add that this is my favorite perch — because of the view — but it was clearly made for a much smaller cat.

What???

No, I am definitely not "fat," how dare you???

It just takes me a little longer to get in position, up here. Basic rule: If the head fits through an opening, the cat fits through an opening!

All the best supervision spots require a little extra effort...

Maybe I should have gone around the outside, instead...

After all that effort, it turned out that he wasn't even completely ready for my help!

As soon as I had taken up my supervisor position, he left the room, mumbling something about "charged batteries." That was just outright annoying!

So I went back down, and resumed my examination of the box down on the floor...

I'm ignoring you, Hooman!

In the end, it was the right choice, as the Dad-Hooman put several small boxes on the floor that I was able to sit in the middle of.

I also managed to tip over a tray with "small things" in plastic bags... they were very interesting to look at, and the Dad-Hooman was suitably perturbed!

It's all part of the life of a hard-working cat!

Thanks for visiting my blog... hope to see you again, next time!

=^..^=

Love Cats? Get Involved in Hive's Cat Communties!

If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?

These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Remember, you can also "cross-post" your cat posts to them!

HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!

Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!

Caturday Community by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS! It has a lot of subscribers but is not very active.

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.

Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and typically has quite a bit of cat content!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
