Wanderlust (ভ্রমণের নেশা) : Road to wonderlands!

in BDCommunity4 years ago (edited)

I wish I had the power of a wizard, I would have sailed the entire world. When I was a puny child, my parents never allowed me to travel anywhere, but in my mind, I was always wondering what was going on around the world. Another person is living inside me, I never realized until I grew up. He loved wandering here and there, never settled anywhere. That's how the expedition started, the journey to the wonderlands.

I started my first expedition when I was in college; I visited Sonargaon, one of Bangladesh's ancient places. That time I speculated about the wonderful nature of my country, I learned many things from that visit and explored more and more. When my HSC exam ended, I soon made an arrangement to visit Jessor and Meherpur. I convinced two of my friends to travel with me. When we reached there, first we explored the Jessore after that we went to see another wonderland (to me) that is Meherpur where we visited some historical places Aam Jupi (Neel Kuthi), Atkobor (Eight Grave) and finally the Mujibnagar which formally known as Baidyanathtala.

The most fascinating thing that I had seen at Mujibnagar was the Mujibnagar Aambagan (Mango Garden). There was mystery whenever I looked at any of the mango trees; they all were in a straight line from any direction. We were very close to the Indian border, but no one could cross that line. Finally, I was standing on no-man 's-land point. For one moment, I felt that I had to cross the border and explore that unknown land.

After that, I got admitted to the Jahangirnagar University. But I was thirsty, thirsty for traveling the world. So I saved some money. It took almost three years to prepare myself for the trip, and that time I was taking some tuition classes to save some money. But in these years, I never stopped exploring. Whenever I got any vacation, I went to visit some places. I missed none of the annual department tours arranged by our department. I visited Cox's Bazar, saint-martin, Khagrachari, Rangamati, Bandarban, Sajek-valley, and so on. But inside my mind, I was thinking about how I can cross the border and explore other countries.

Finally, I got my passport; also, my honors last year exam finished, I thought, this is the right time. After traveling around 13 hours with two of my friends, I reached India. That time I told myself, yes, I do it. I still remember the time. It was on December 7th, 2017. That time I explored Kolkata city.

Meanwhile, I got an opportunity to work on a project with a foreigner; he invited me to visit Nepal and work with him in that following year. That's how I went to visit another wonderland. I really fell in love with this wonderland, Nepal's spectacular beauty, people of Nepal, and all the most beautiful places like Nagarkot,Kalinchowk, Mangal Bazar, Nanglabari, altogether fascinating to watch.

On January 3rd, 2020, I visited Chennai for another project work. I had a great time there. My journey to wonderlands will never stop. When this world gets back to normal again, I will be out there scouting for new wonderlands.
