Reminders

in BDCommunity2 years ago

Regrets, eh? I still got a few I guess, but I'm way past that certain stage though.

A stage where you can go on for hours fantasizing about a positive outcome, while living in a present where those regrets don't exist anymore.

Every now and then you choose to dive into a "daydreaming" session, and with a bit of time, repetition and practice, that realm and state becomes so powerful, so real, that you no longer have to worry about your mislabeled and poor excuse of a present.

The "real world" doesn't matter anymore. You just put yourself into a compelling trance, deluding yourself into a zone where only you have full control. Starting with the choice and ending with the outcome, control of every little detail in the palm of your hands.

If you want to make things a bit more "exciting", then you can even choose to acquire the Infinity Gauntlet at first. The stones all placed in position, the gauntlet has your favorite set of colors, the size and shape all tailor made to fit your hands only.

And then you can commence on your mission, a mission to erase every mistake that has been engraved into your past.

So that you are no longer left with any regrets, in present time.

I quite lucikly don't have any regrets, just a few reminders.

Yes, reminders, because the few regrets that are still present have now been quite successfully renamed and categorized as "reminders".

Perhaps I've turned into one of those "wise" sagacious individuals, or maybe I've just usurped the very naive and foolish side of mine? Forced it into believing that after a certain amount of time, any bit of time spent repenting, is time gone to waste.

Now, I've surely had my fair share of day dreams, but that got me nowhere, not yet at least.

I slowly realized what that dark fantasy realm was turning me into, and I acted fast, but instead of "eradicating" every bit of bit, I kept some of it aside. Might come in handy, who knows?

Thus, why not turn all that bull-crap from the past into something productive?

That is why these "reminders" are still there, safe and sound, ready to wreak havoc inside of my mind, as soon they see a familiar sight. A set of bright "red flags" waving on top and some random inner voices screaming "DANGER AHEAD" and "RETREATTTT", is what it all looks and sounds like.....

These reminders keep me in line, they now serve a purpose, and they don't really bother me anymore.

So, have I really managed to "tame" my regrets? Or am I just being delusional?
