The Test Of Character

More often then not, character is not only revealed but tested in the face of challenges and not when everything seems to be rosy. When situations squeez you up, what you are made of will be revealed. Obviously, no one can vomit what they had not early eaten. When someone shows uneven attitude and character in the face of challenges, it is out of the abundance of the uneveness within that it flows to the outside.

You do not have to blame the situation and circumstances for any wrong character you exhibit. Many others has passed through very similar or even worse challenges and some of them were able to react positively to them, why not you? Your situation cannot make of you what you are not.

Characters are normally borne out of thoughts which will determine actions and the actions, overtime, will turn to habit which will form part of the person's attitude which will ultimately give birth to their character. So you see, characters do not just spring up from the oblivion but from the thoughts of the heart. The character you do not want, you do not have to make it a thought in the first place, for thoughts have the likeness of seeds which can grow.

Some people have ruined their reputation and their chances of better things by their character. There is something about nasty character, it can crash all the good you have done in a moment. What took you years to build can be thrown down by just a nasty character that could have been avoided.

Outward beauty is very good but much more than that is the beauty of the character. No matter how beautiful your face or body is, it is not a substitute for good character. Good character adds more beauty to you than makeup does. You will agree with me that it will be easy to flow with someone of good character than someone with a nasty character.

You should not hide under the guise of "I don't have any other option" or "I am being real" to exhibit nastiness in character. No one likes nastiness and that includes character-wise. You can choose to maintain your good character even in the face of trials and tests - it is only a matter of choice.

Anytime you feel the need to exhibit rudeness or nastiness, just remind yourself that you are more than that and you can do better. Always remember that good character and bad character are product of choice. Make your own choice and welcome the results of the choice.
