I was so happy last Thursday. It was the last working day for me at school, and two weeks of freedom from work waited for me. Whole days of just being lazy and doing nothing is what was supposed to happen. Well, it is what was planned, but the reality is that seven days passed and I don't know where the time disappeared. I feel more tired than when I have worked. So many things I wanted to do, all those things that I can't really achieve when I am working. Now it is time for friends, family, visits, dinners, excursions, food, food, food.. oops, did I say three times food? Huh, I know I will need to cut off eating, but it can wait until 2023... maybe as a New Year's resolution :D
At the moment I can't think about that, we have to live in the present time and what is right now happening is mentoring a friend on how to start his journey on Hive. I mentioned it in my latest post when we spent a day together, we talked to him about our loved platform and created an account for him. Several hours of explanation is too little time, way too little time. Today we went on another excursion and had a nice time in the mountain. Home-made lunch, which was btw very tasty (oh, I am again talking about food 😂) and more Hive teaching time. It is not easy at all, to explain everything (impossible actually) but the main thing I tried to highlight is the personal touch we are giving to our posts when writing. That is something that I would suggest to all those who are starting the blogging activity.
However, giving the personal touch is important not only on Hive but in many other things we do in life. Creating art, writing, cooking (huh, again??), playing the piano, composing, designing, choosing our clothes, decorating our home, or the way of wishing happy holidays to others. We are in this time of the year when friends and family members are called, met or reached out through messages or letters. That's why a few days ago I searched for the piano scores of a soundtrack of a movie titled Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence. I studied a bit and recorded the piece to make a personalized greeting card video.
I haven't seen the movie but I liked the music. The composer of the soundtrack is Ryuichi Sakamoto, a Japanese composer. Moreover, exactly this movie opened the path to his career as a film score composer and actor. I played other pieces by him already, but this one waited for the opportunity to be played and recorded by me. What can I tell you is that I liked very much this process of preparing the video. So much time passed since my latest piano-playing video... maybe a few months ago I recorded something but the audio interface I used to get a clean recording showed me the date - six months passed. I realized that I missed doing this, recording audio (and video) of me playing my musical instrument. For sure, it was a very enjoyable activity that reminded me of something I really liked to do in past. Who knows, maybe more of these piano sounds will come from me in the future. Time will say. :)

He is wondering too how to do a first one, so I guess we have to work a bit more about getting there :) But, it has to go naturally, it is just overwhelming to learn about Hive and start in that short time. A tiny detail: I needed more than a year to join after hearing about the platform.

I've brought an enormous amount of people to Hive and it really is quite a task to teach someone. I sincerely hope your friends fall in love with the platform as much as we do to see the results of so many hours of teaching and preparation. They have a good Master, surely they will do well.

The rest days are like that, they fly by and one ends up more tired than when there is work.
I congratulate you friend, being a mom of a new hiver is hard work but it fills the soul with joy, when I was one year old I created a course by whass that I used several times and incorporated several people up to 10 at the same time, the project is domirdo because I had to create content to generate profit but I managed to win a prize in hive, they are nice memories.

Do you get lost in your music, letting yourself just go? That is how I feel when I listen, just sitting back and relaxing, letting the music take me over.
It flowed melodiously, the soothing sounds of the melodies.
I have eaten myself into a coma practically. The entire holidays, since Thanksgiving (the end of November), have been centered around food! I am horrified but, not really. Next year. It will all work out, I am not too worried. :) I am so glad you got some well-deserved time off, seems like mine gets frittered away, and I have to wonder where it all goes.
I read where you onboarded your friend (that moved close to you! Yay!) All I can say is give him a chance to try it out and guide him from there. He will do much better to get that intro post done and let him fledge, while you watch him. I didn't even know I had a wallet (or what it was) when I joined 5 1/2 years ago. Nobody did crypto, so it was all new to me. Now, crypto is almost mainstream, and so much has changed. Thankfully! They have all sorts of places to go to find help. There was no help back then, LOL Only if someone took pity on you. Not quite as dismal as I sound, but, I have a feeling your friend is going to do fine. After all, you are a great teacher, remember that.

Playing the piano is many times like having a conversation with a person. I especially feel it when learning a new piece, it is like meeting someone for the first time and discovering some great things. When I am playing I indeed disconnect from other things, actually I don't know what is happening when a musician is playing music 😂 Hard to explain with words.
About my friend, if only we could have more time. They came here just for vacations, and it was pretty by accident they got the accommodation so close to us (well, nothing happens without a reason). In this short time, I explained as much as I could but yeah, it is too much all at once. He will have to find his way and I will encourage his steps and guide him (but through distance already) if he decides to let himself more into this adventure :))

Oh well, foods! It's quite abundant in this season. Party there, and party here. It's quite never-ending every holidays like this. Sometimes, I want to decline an invitation but I'm embarassed to do that since they're close friends and good acquaintances.

It usually happens, on holidays we think we are going to rest but it turns out that there is a lot of planning of activities, preparation of meals and family or friends meetings, and it can be exhausting.
This piece is beautiful, it's very soft and elegant at the same time, with that Japanese touch. I loved listening to you play it.

It is always exciting when days off work approach and you're right, sometimes we wonder how fast they run and rattle our brains to what was achieved during those off work periods. Sometimes the overload of stress begins to tell on us when we eventually have some off days and this may account for the easy fatigue experienced. It's always good to rest as it is the first treatment in medicine. Thank you also for showing and introducing your friend to hive. You're a good mentor and he'll do well certainly
