My father said that when they were young, they would eat things that fell on the ground & drink the rain water collected on Mud. There was no pollution to be afraid of.

"The author mentions how he used to drink water directly from a stream in #Washington #DC (as a teenager)"

Funny how we easily let go of the humanity's greater strength~

BTW..

  • Early Buddhism.
  • Christianity.
  • And I think Islam.

All talk about a hero coming in the end of days.. can you share what the #Quran says about this?

I mentioned Authentic Hadith in my previous comments. Since you're not a Muslim, I'll explain here:

Hadith is the words & actions of the Prophet Muhammad passed down to us. Authentic Hadith means the chain of narrators passing it down is proven to be righteous & honest.

This is similar to #EarlyBuddhism, the language that the #Buddha spoke in (Pali) didn't have a written aspect of it until years later.

The Qur'an itself doesn't say anything about a hero at the end of times.

But hadith (the words of the Prophet Muhammad) does... A lot of it isn't authentic, which means most details can't be tracked to the Prophet himself, but you can look up the few authentic ones.

Qur'an doesn't say that Jesus will come back at the end of times, but it does say that Jesus wasn't killed but Allah saved him. (Qur'an 4:157.)

Muslims believe he'll be back at the end of times before the day of Judgement to correct the corruption.

Thank you for sharing this.. I find it interesting.

From my understanding, there are 2 heroes that are going to appear at the end of times according to Islam:

  • 1st: Jesus Christ, whom we believe was saved by Allah & He'll send him back to earth.
  • 2nd: is the Mahdi who'll supposedly appear around the same time & lead Muslims.

It's funny how similar Christianity and Islam are, the biggest difference is that we (Muslims) believe that attributing a Son to God is a great Sin, while many Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God, (some even think he's God himself.)

Posted via D.Buzz

Yes, I am familiar with that.. some people do believe #JesusChrist is God himself.

But what about God being the Father of all, not just the father of Jesus but everyone and everything?

Posted via D.Buzz

This is actually another correct meaning of "Father" as in He created all of us.

If you mean it that way, then yeah, we're all his God's and daughters, but he created us, we're not begotten to him. That's not the way Christians define "Son of God" and that's where we conflict.

Another big difference that might seem small to some is: We don't believe that God created man in his image. We believe that nothing is like God. That we can't imagine His form...

Qur'an 42:11

Qur'an 112:1-4:

This is interesting, thank you for sharing.

Yeah, and sometimes it's an intentional hiding of the past by those who Govern the masses.
