The Crocker Island Expedition in the 1913 was an expedition to locate Crocker Island, a huge island supposedly sighted by explorer Robert Peary in the 1906. There's just one problem though; the island didn't exist but an imaginary island concocted by Peary to gain more fundings!

Robert Peary claimed to have seen a huge island at the top of Cape Colgate. He then named the island Crocker island after George Crocker one of his financial backer in an attempt to get more money to fund his other expeditions. The attempt to get more funding failed.
