Light on the steppe - watercolor on paper

The watercolor painting technique makes it possible to paint landscapes where light can take center stage. The landscape I am sharing today depicts a plain with a crown of mountains in the background from where the light from the sky radiates everywhere. Watercolor has no white, the white is the sheet of paper that left clear distributes the light throughout the painting.

In my landscape I wanted to highlight the colors of autumn in the foreground and the very clear light of the cerulean blue of the sky, seeking a harmony between the cold and warm colors.

Luce sulla steppa - acquarello su carta

La tecnica della pittura ad acquarello permette di dipingere paesaggi dove la luce può essere protagonista. Il paesaggio che condivido oggi raffigura una pianura con una corona di montagne sullo sfondo da dove la luce del cielo si irradia dappertutto. L'acquarello non ha il bianco, il bianco è il foglio di carta che lasciato chiaro distribuisce la luce su tutto il quadro.

Nel mio paesaggio ho voluto evidenziare i colori dell'autunno in primo piano e la luce chiarissima del blu ceruleo del cielo cercando un'armonia tra i colori freddi e caldi.
