It was a weird Monday.

Before big band, I woke up very early, 5am. I hosed out a fish box or two, perpetuated my secret collection of white shoes images, and witnessed a dock cart full of giant boat batteries tip over. Those batteries are extremely heavy. I'm surprised the dock cart survived.

Eventually, I break free from the shackles of employment, stop home, shit post, and leave again for big band.

🚘 Road Images and Sunset:

Somehow, I have a lot of traffic images. It was really bad that day. I was stuck in traffic. I was almost late to rehearsal. Late is bad. This band doesn't care.

🅿️ Parking:

Same two dollars. Not much to talk about here. I've stopped complaining. It's a small price to pay for an education, right? Small price to pay for a gym fee.

BASS!!!

My gig bag and it's new bungie attachment is awesome.

Two carabiners and a loop make it more awesome than ever before.

I didn't need to spend any money for this upgrade.

This method holds my cables closer and tighter to the gig bag. Now, moving around with this gig band and the cables won't be as awkward now.

🎸 Instruments

Big Bands have lots of horns, right? This is an image of a saxophone player why also doubles on clarinet.

The clarinet is a beautiful sounding instrument to me. I love the rich tone they produce. Bass clarinet is awesome too.

🎼 Music

Pianist Mike asked me to perform bass for his small vocal bossa nova group. The small group will perform during the intermission.

Three more songs are added to my list. It's gonna be a long concert. I'm glad the new songs a bossanova tunes. People like me and my bass for bossanova music. Bossanova is a slower type of Samba. Some say it's like a combination of Jazz and Samba.

🎭 Glam

Muh, bass with dings in the wood. Dings that come from the point of a 1/4 inch cable slamming into the wood when I drop it over my strap. It happens. It's not from thrashing or bass slapping.

Lots of cat hair is bad for a bass guitar. This bass would probably have toxoplasmosis if it were alive.

I can also see lots of sand on there. It's been a while, so it must be sand left over from #SteelParade performances.

Cat hair and tyrants are everywhere. The bathrooms are vintage.
