What An Odd ........Thing!.....My Actifit Report Card: February 2 2023

in Actifitlast year (edited)

What an odd……….thing! More on that in a minute.

Work was pretty good. I got a lot done and sold some glasses and contacts even. One of my first timers was a no show but that bought me more time to work on other stuff.

Tomorrow I am by myself with the doc and a fully busy day. We will see if I know who I am and where I am by the end of the day! 😜

So just what is that thing in the first photo?

It is know as Hoof fungus and usually is found on trees with damaged bark located in Asia, Africa, Europe and North America. It’s considered inedible.

Just one of many interesting fungal species around here. You never know what you might find when hiking and we of course, look for all of it!

That’s gonna be it for now. Take care and enjoy your evening. It is Friday Eve!

Please continue to pray for 🇺🇦

👣🐑☕️😜😎👍😅😁🥱😴

I would like to know a lot about mushrooms. It would be nice to walk in the forest and collect the edible ones and prepare a meal with them, but unfortunately, I don't have a forest nearby where I can collect mushrooms and I don't know much about mushrooms.

I hope your doctor's appointment goes well, I don't understand exactly what you are going for.

Hi there @ipexito! The mushrooms are beautiful, but there are edibles and there are deadly ones. Some of the ones that are poisonous can mimic the ones that are edible. I've heard of experts who have mistakenly eaten the wrong one and paid for it with their life. They are beautiful!

As for the doctor; I didn't go; I work for an eye doctor; I'm an optician and today it was him doing the exams for patients and me doing everything else! It can get quite hectic. Anyway, thank you for stopping by and commenting! Have a lovely weekend.

Now I understand your profession, this is good, I wish you good work. Mushrooms are as dangerous as they are beautiful.

Thank you @ipexman
Yes, 'shrooms can be. That's why I look and photograph, but never eat. Take care!

Nice count of steps there @elizabethbit, and fantastic to see that tree mushroom, they are not edible but if dried out they are great for using to start fires with, enjoy your day and stay awesome.

Thanks @flaxz! I read about the combustibility of them, but have never tried it. I can see though, why they would be an excellent fire starter! Take care and have a lovely weekend! !LADY

This fungi looks really big and if it has eyes maybe it would have been an animal 😂😂.
Please do not over stress yourself tomorrow with Doc
Have a lovely weekend dear friend 💜😘

Some of these can be quite big! They are so interesting to look at; actually, I find all fungi intriguing. I don't like to eat them, but looking is another thing!

Today wasn't too bad; busy for sure.

Thank you my sweet friend! Take care and enjoy the weekend!🤗💜🤗💜

I'm not sure this is good for eating
Only mushroom we eat in my country.

No, they aren't edible but they do make a good fire starter!🤗💜

I've never seen mushrooms/fungus grow that way!

It is interesting stuff!😎👍💞
