What better way to spend the last day of a long weekend then hard labour out in the yard? Truth is it is Monday but Monday is the new Sunday when you have used your Sunday of a 3-day Canadian Victoria Day weekend.
I am facing new challenges this year with the garden which I will fill you on later this week when I get back to launching my 2022 #gardenhive series from the starting line.
I turn into an old lady when my perennials start to bloom and there are quite a few of those again this year. Something gratifying when blooms pop up every year without you having to buy or plant them. I don’t realize the variety I have til I collect them in a garden blooms post.

That dog would dig every single plan up immediately given the choice. Hence the Fort Knox fence setup with is needed this year.

Four legged helper in the garden, mine gets stuck in digging his way to the center of the earth, normally after moles.
Garden is starting to expand. It's nice to do small plots at at a time. Now my tomatoes are bigger, still not a lot and some are colors is red. Waterloo is a low alcohol juice drink !

Yes I built a box every year or 2 to reclaim useless grass space. I have pause that expansion because that is about as much work as I am prepared to do now and plenty of fruits and veggies.
Your garden is beautiful, always so neat. @thebigsweed got out today, side saddled on the 4 wheeler, it was so inspiring to me , when he gets better, I can travel😁

The garden is a disaster this year with sir digs alot but I will make a go of it. Part of my long game of being able to afford a place like yours and having my better half want to join me there.
I think that had I not decided to live my life as a traveler that this is something I would definitely be doing. I tried my hand at growing some stuff when I lived in southern Thailand but was unable to keep anything other than the pumpkins alive. To be fair to me I was dealing with some pretty terrible soil.
Yah for sure.
If I were you, I would be filling my balcony with hot peppers and flowers. What you gave up in garden space was in exchange for high adventure and global perspective. Your garden will be awesome when you get it.
