Sweden was ok. I must admit that i got bored and i skipped a lot till the end of the competition. Could be just that organization and stage was bad. As i mentioned in my last post i am watching this mostly for the wtf did i watch moments (weird and interesting visuals). I don't expect to hear 30+ great songs. I thought that maybe it is just me and stage and visuals are fine just as always, but then i seen Serbia. And i was surprised that our national television made the visuals looking at least 2x better on our local Serbian qualification round.
So i am sharing the video from qualifications. Also if you turn on subtitles you have English translation of the lyrics.

I am certainly bias, but i do think that Konstrakta is in another league. Lyrics do sound weird, but if you start to think about it, it has multiple layers of serious massages. And i like the "mic drop" at the end.
So if i don't want to be bias, and pick Serbia, i have to pick a winner it would be Moldova from the first semifinal. Because they were fun :D

there was a lot of hype when she won in Serbia as no one expected it (we would agree she is not someone for the masses in Serbia), i think she did not expect it. so Sta cemo sad? was kinda her question when she won :D
I did not get into it when the hype was on. But now after listening to it several times i like it. As a whole. I am not sure would i just listen to it without the visual.
Lyrics are weird, but they hit on several levels. From What is the secret behind Meghan Markle's healthy hair? (it was a click bait text from a newspaper) as a critique of media, to Nemam Knjizicu, problems with artists and health insurance and in the end latest world obsession with physicals health and everyone ignoring the mental part of it. And i probably missed a few :D
And i do really like that build up and a mic drop with I sta cemo sad at the end :)

I am a bit out of the happenings, so for example I didn't know artists in Serbia have issues getting the health insurance card. The clickbait from newspapers is cool to use in a song, to highlight the current media reliability, so all in all, when you analyzed the song I see why it is good. On the other side, I imagine the reaction of the common citizen in RS learning that this song will represent the country for the Eurovision. 😜
i think no one knew what is going on, especially when she won with something like double the votes of the next in line (sexy dancing pop song) :D
it is a weird one whit that in Serbia, because you are not a "worker" to get health care automatically and you are not unemployed to be covered. and i can see how that can be a problem, especially for small artists.
That's bad. I mean, here is not a lot better, I have to be a freelancer (to cover the health insurance) and pay every month a fixed price, regardless if I had work or not.
