Ever since metal music was born and after its popularity it found its way into radio and television and began to split into different branches in different genres, until many of these genres were crushed under the brutal gears of the music industry and failed in this rapid development, Extreme Metal was always a safe place underground, experimenting with creative ways to present direct and raw music and art. regardless of what the popular radio and media demanded of Metal, they continued this exploration and adventure. to the extent that today the peak of creativity and innovation in expanding the boundaries of this music should be expected from these bands and New York is now the scene of these innovations.

Many people are not interested in getting out of the safe zone of their taste and do not die under the pressure of digesting new music (at least for the listener). but well, I'm one of those masochists who welcomes this headache. But this first album put more pressure on me than normal, and the challenge of understanding the intricacies and strange combinations in this experimental and creative music took weeks, during which I kept coming to it and stepping aside before I went crazy. this process was repeated so much that now I can have a good understanding of what these four geniuses are doing with death-metal.

"Pyrrhon" Technical Death Metal, with a mixture of rock noise and experimental component, has succeeded in presenting a work of art from the heart and intestines of the most creative features of these genres. And now, with "Abscess Time" they are once again displaying an elusive death metal structure that proves they are the flagship of discovering unknown death-metal lands.

The confusing structure of the songs, along with the syncope filled drums on mixed rhythms such as the 11/4 with harsh vocals and the irregular Doug Moore, and the dizzying riffs of the guitar, which of course sometimes become very atmospheric, have turned all this music into chaos. very surprisingly logical order! Bass, like many other death-metal techniques, does not slap a person in the face, but with an interesting and sufficient approach, it sounds very good and in harmony with the music atmosphere.

It has a regular but strange ability to communicate with the listener so that it acts as an auxiliary force to digest this complex music. of course, this ability is due to Moore's diverse and honest vocals, along with his extraordinary poetry, which is unmatched in the death-metal genre. while the theme of most of the lyrics in this genre is similar to the plot of horror movies (which, of course, has its charms), the lyrics that Moore writes deal with the very ugly and painful truths of modern man. lyrics that are one of the best lyrics I know of a metal band and this is a wonderful feature for this servant. combine this brutal and complex technical music with such lyrics!

and now the ground shifts under our feet
And our debts shadow us into our sleep
So that we never rest, we just slave for a seat
At the table of gold, as if we’re not the feast
Like cattle we are butchered, like kings they will eat
For the landless and luckless are such easy meat
And the cost of our living will only increase
(Human Capital)

One of my favorite tracks was "Down At Liberty Ashes", which created a beautiful bass riff and, of course, surreal guitar riffs, a space in line with the track's lyrics and theme. the track, which is actually written for the workers of the most ruthless and difficult industrial factories in America and depicts their death and suffering in this factory.

In "Another Day in Paradise" they get very close to classic death-metal. the eight minute track "The Lean Years" is one of the most brilliant performances of the band on the album. the track which constantly enters different levels and the multiplicity of reefs during the crack creates a sense of distrust and security that only makes sense when everything is over. the short and grindcore tracks of the album were not as extraordinary as the rest of the album, and first of all, they took me away from the music process in the album. the album ends with a huge 8 minutes of "Rat King Lifecycle". stunning ending that was the culmination of everything that happened throughout the album. pushing the brain to the brink of insanity to articulate something important!

Pyrrhon is currently a important in the death metal scene. bands like "Pyrrhon" and "Afterbirth" are extremely vital to continuing these creations and this innovative movement in death metal. add "Artificial Brain" to the list and we will have to wait for their new album. If you want to get involved with this innovative metal, this album is a good starting point. an album that was perhaps their best album to present this style to more audiences. certainly, this music still has an endless horizon for progress and survival due to having elements that have no expiration date.
