Siete mares he surcado
Siete mares color azul
Yo soy nave voy navegando

Acuarela is a song composed by Toquinho / Maurizio Fabrizio / Guido Morra / Vinicius de Moraes in 1983.

Toquinho (1946) is a singer, guitarist, composer, jazz musician who started as a guitarist and accompanied great interpreters of the Brazilian song. He is considered one of the great composers of Brazil.

Acuarela is one of Toquinho's most beautiful songs.
The beautiful lyrics tell us how simple it is to enjoy life, how simple it can be to enjoy being surrounded by good friends, with loved ones and with an awakened imagination. It invites us to never stop dreaming, even if in the end the watercolor will fade.

It is said that the Spanish version is far from the original Portuguese version, but nevertheless the one that is known is interpreted by Toquinho himself.

Aquarela

On the sky maps the sun is always yellow
And rain or clouds cannot veil so much brightness.
Nor can the trees ever hide the way
Of their light to the deep forest of our destiny.

That grass so green looks like a distant mantle
That cannot escape
That can be reached only by flying.

Seven seas I have sailed
Seven blue seas
I'm a ship I'm sailing
And my sail is you

Under the water I see colorful fish
They go where they want, you don't send them.

  • By the sky it goes crossing,
    Through the blue sky,
    An airplane that flies high
    Ten thousand meters of altitude.*

From the ground they greet it with their hands,
It's flying away
I don't know where it's going,
I don't know where it's going.

On a stretch of track crossing a landscape of a dream
On a train that takes me back to being very small again
From one America to another it's only a matter of a second
One wish is enough and you can go all over the world.

A boy who climbs, who climbs to the top of a wall
If he feels safe he'll see his future clearly.

And the future is a ship that through time will fly
To Saturn, after Mars
No one knows where it will arrive.

If you see him coming
If he brings you loves, don't steal them from you unhurriedly.

Seize the best ones that later will not return.
Hope is never lost,
The bad times will pass.

Think of the future as a watercolor
and your life is a canvas to color.
to color.

On the maps of the sky the sun is always yellow
(you will paint it)
And rain or clouds can't veil so much brightness.
(you will paint it)
From one America to another it's only a matter of a second
(you will paint it)
It's enough to wish it and you can go all over the world.
(you will paint it)

¡Felicitaciones!
