Early morning in the misty forest

Back into the woods we go. These last few weeks I really didn't feel like socializing and prefer to spend most of the time alone, either at home or exploring the less crowded places. November is a time for self reflection and slowing down, for activities that nurture the soul.

Just as the leaves change color and fall down, so we can take a different look at our past actions and thoughts that are troubling us. With a gentle approach, deep breathing and shining the new light on the negative patterns we can transform them and then release them from our subconscious. It's also good time to acknowledge everything good that happened to us and practice gratitude. In fact gratitude for both good and bad, each is there to help us grow.

Autumn is a symbol of things ending and preparation for the new cycle. It's a time for warm blankets, classic books and walks in the nature. Too often we run on auto-pilot, always chasing things instead of slowing down and reflecting on the time passed.

Mist adds something magical to the autumn forest, it shrouds it in a layer of mystery and suspense. Here's another set of photos I took on a recent morning walk. I hope you enjoy them. Soon these trees will be bare and leaves will cover the path. Reminding to us to move together with nature.

So, mist and magic are here again, to give a bit of mystery and a November ambience...
and to trigger a bit of self-reflection :)
Gratitude for both good and bad things, well, for the good ones it is easy :) for the bad ones we know that in theory are also good for our growth, yet it is somehow more difficult to do in the first moments. When the calm period comes, then we indeed realize that gratitude can be given for the not-perfect situations. Seems that the mist can bring that phase, even if just seeing it through the photos!

It is indeed my conclusion, after many years of reflection, that every moment, good or bad, is exactly as it should be for our growth. Like you said, we sometimes don't see it because we are overwhelmed. But there are no mistakes in the universe. :) We create all of it with our choices and decisions. At times we have to experience the bad to appreciate more what's good.

We do experience the bad things to see what's good, that's all easy when we reflect on the happenings from the distance. :D But that first impact, our first reaction, when we react with emotions, yes, that's a tricky part hahaha. A bit of reflection and mindfulness practice can help, so we can calmly choose the right attitude 🙂
Have a great Sunday evening @alcibiades, and should I wish more of these mornings with mist? or the sun would come in handy too? :))

Looks like we won't see any sunny or warm days until the spring. :) It will be a long dominance of winter and clouds. Got to make the best out of it. :) Have a great day and sorry for the late response.

I'm hoping that you had a great time in those time you were alone? As for me I always want to be alone and because of that I am always at peace which a goal for me ever since. To be happy while in peace.

And whoa, you know I can imagine Three Finger from Wrong Turn movie in those picture into the woods, haha. It is beautiful but I feel like anytime he will come out to you know, hahahaha. What a lovely shot ✨

I'm always peaceful when practicing solitude, it's when I'm socializing that I have more challenging time. So yes, I very much enjoy being alone. :)
I wasn't going for the horror vibe with the photos, but everyone interprets them differently haha.
