It's a good life.

I get high a lot. As often as I can. It's not any dark web drug or corner store bud or yeastless and tasteless Rocky Mountain municipal water runoff. It's not junk or crack or gofast or even that bullshit kratom our old sax player was hooked on. It's not anything you can slurp or snort or huff or shoot or smoke or stick in your butthole.

It's gratitude.

And joy.

And awe.

And probably a fuckload of oxytocin.

Some might say you've hit rock bottom when you have to go outside in sloppy snowfall on four hours of sleep so you can get your fix. Don't feel like no rock bottom to me, though. Feels like fluffy cloud sky top. Outer space twinkle time. Wings spread wide flying high time passing by in the blink of an eye and other such appropriately overused expressions.

When I take the camera out with me I can capture proof of this highly addictive magical cocktail of crow time. What's more, I get to continue the high after dark while all my buddies are huddled together in the night taking group shits on downtown sidewalks and unsuspecting vehicles.

I get to eyegaze with Melby as I bring out the highlights and rich cocoa brown tones of his perfect round peepers.

I get to highlight his bristly mustache and trace the edges of his crooked beak, the crookedness of which is just subtle enough not to be seen by the naked human eye, but strong enough to demonstrate through photography the weight of the world that rests upon the shoulders of a father crow.

I got you, Melby. Let me help take a load off. Hook you up with some good, clean food. Watch the kids for a couple minutes while you chase off that scrub jay.

Sometimes I carry the awe and the wonder of the intoxicating life of crow into my dreams. Feel with my fingertips in the Land of Nod those feathers which I can only admire from a distance in my waking life. Sometimes we carry on conversations, and I wake up wondering if we have shared the same dream.

I'm pretty sure we have.

It's a good life.

I'm pretty sure you have shared a dream with a crow! They are such powerful magic hidden in plain sight.

They really are. I can be walking along in "silence" and suddenly I know to look exactly at some place above or behind me and tada! Crow. I have a friend in Germany who gets these messages, too. And a friend in India who has also had all kinds of healing experiences form her crow friends. And some crazy magic crow "coincidences" from across the world that brought us three together.

I had a bunch of experiences with the crow in Minneapolis. I took them a while to trust me and the food I would leave for them, but once they did, they were looking out for me. It was so cool. There was some crow lord that would show up in my dreams. I haven't seen them since I moved out of the city, and I haven't had a crow dream for at least that long:(

Crow Lord!! I think they do have some sort of hierarchy, although I haven't figured that out yet. I do notice some males get more respect than others. Maybe you were feeding one of the higher-ups.

The way that I understand it, I was honoring the crow lords when I left food for all/any of the crows. I would leave the food in the shape of a crow foot to honor them as well it being my personal stamp.
The crow lords definitely know you!

I would leave the food in the shape of a crow foot to honor them as well it being my personal stamp.

How cool!!

I think I just won the gif contest with that one.

In your dreams, did you have crow wings and fly?

I have not been a crow in my dreams, not yet. It's mostly me dreaming about cuddling with Bo. Once I dreamt I dressed him up an a cowboy hat and chaps. The next morning he pooped on me. True story! Although he may have also been mad that I fed other crows on his turf the night before. But usually the morning after our cuddly dreams he's especially eager to hang out and land on me. One of these days he and I WILL cuddle.

😂😂😂 I died laughing reading that last line because I had an instant vision of that whole scene.

You dressed him up in a cowboy hat and chaps in your dream? LMAO! Love it, but Bo did not I see.

If you have not been a crow in your dreams, I'd suggest attempting it in the waking dream by visualizing and becoming one.

I kinda feel like in my waking life I can feel what it's like to be one of them sometimes when I watch them. Sorta similar.

Yes, exactly that! I'm going to want to see photo of your back for those wings when you sprout them. 😁

That's the kind of shit that will make a youtube millionaire. Here's hoping...

😂 what a vision! Maybe a vision quest...hmmm...

What an uber cool feed, crow lady :)

We're smitten with birds of all sorts. Crows are super packed with character and intelligence.

Getting the younger human on to your tik tok thingy asap. (He sends me his finds so I can stay in touch with that community and its creations) 👍

Yay! I'm not hip enough to have tiktok, though, just youtube. Only so much social media I can handle.😄

Crows are the other people in cities.

I hear you!

We have tons here too. But the black and white ones. Very cool thing you have going.

Tik Tok is hilarious. Recommended. And I only use Hive for social media these days so hear you in full.

My son keeps me up to date with Tok Tok 👍

Great pics, the last onegives looks a little evil, very well done

Thanks! That's his outtake. Don't tell him I posted it online.
