Hello from the hottest place on Earth

Good evening,

I am sharing some of my photos from my travel collection again here with you. This time I will stop by in my archive mape named Ethiopia 2020. Real highlight of this country are the people and their culture. As I shared quite a lot from that field in recent weeks, I would like to share and present something else today. Did you know that there is the hottest place on Earth located in Ethiopia?
I am talking about place called Dallol. Never heard of it? I don't blame you. It is very remote are in northern Ethiopia, where there is more likely that you will meet camel caravan than another car. Yet I decided to go there as there is almost no place like that. I have been to famous Death Valley in USA too, but you can not compare these two places.
Dallol has even lower elevation with about 130 meters below the sea level, which helps achieving high temperatures in range of about 34 degrees Celsius when we are talking of average annual temperature which is a result more extreme than any other place can offer. For example the hottest month there has an average high temperature of around 46 degrees Celsius.

I doubt many of you will visit it, so below you can see how that place looks like on the photos :)

Enjoy!

Lot's of different kinds of minerals, I'm guessing sulphuric ones in particular, but few animals.

Yes it is a very interesting landscape with a lot to research including grounds.
We didn't see any animal, beside some camel caravans.
