Well today I wanted to present some natural beauties of my homeland, Slovenia. I decided to do that in a form of recap of photography taken in year 2020. After taking a look at all the photos I took, I decide it to split them into two posts... I would say after 25 photos people lose attention, so you can expect another similar post in about a week. Below you will find photos from first half of this strange year 2020. It is strang and awful year in some ways, but on the other side I had a nice time. Best was late spring & summer time when I get to explore my lovely country as Covid-19 situation was relativly calm. My first photos from this post dates back in March, just before official "arrival" of Covid-19 in Slovenia. Most photos are from Gorenjska region, near Kranjska Gora, some are from Posočje and the others just from everywhere around :)
I hope you will like this closure as the year is slowly saying goodbye. I will do a second part of Slovenian beauties too, as already mentioned and I will do a special post with 10 best overall 2020 photos for the end. I have to mention, that currently I browsed just through my smartphone archive for this post as mainly I used this device for photography on my Slovenian trips.

A long time ago. School excursion:) In fact, I was supposed to live there. My mother was offered a job but...(ne bilo sudeno). My niece is studying there now. Maybe I'll do it again. This time with a camera.

Yes, I am from Macedonia. And she loves Slovenia. She sang several times at festivals there. She visited Bled, Maribor, Ljubljana and said that she would study there when she was 10years old.
We like Macedonian people here a lot. I had a co-worker coming from Macedonia, nice guy.

I try my best with camera, but I wouldn't be able to achieve nice photos without nature cooperation.
I am aware of Haveyoubeenhere community and I am posting regulary there as well. I also made few posts from these places I shared yesterday in this community earlier in the year.
However I still find it more photography post this time and Photography Lovers is another amazing community which supports effort made.

wow this looks awesome. I think I need to stick to my new plan and buy a car and travel in europe for the next 1-2 years.
Would you say that spring and summer is the best time to visit?
If you take 5 days for Slovenia, you can really cover most of it. With about a week, you can really go into details. But even only few days stop combined with neighbour countries (Italy, Austria, Hungary, Croatia) can be nice and you can do much as our country is small. And self drive is the best way to experience it.
Hmmm hard to say which time... All year round, but maybe May, June or September would be my favorite months if I could choose. Also summer holidays are good, but more tourists everywhere. Winter again has its special charm.
It's clean and it's green, what wonderful photography to remember the earlier months of this most unusual year.
Slovenia being an Eastern block country we could not visit when travelling in our youth. Life stops you when raising children, never reaching places you would have really enjoyed seeing.
Thoroughly enjoyed Austria and Italy, alas so close yet so far! Thanks for allowing us to enjoy through your lens @crazy-andy
