People from Ethiopia

Dear Hive community,

Here I am again, writing post to end this working week. Well, I have much more time during regular day at work, then I have when I finish my work and come home. So why not take advantage of that and be paid for being at work and double down with whatever post payout will be.
What else is new? Yesterday we had a terrible weather here in Ljubljana. In part of the city where I work called Bežigrad they accounted the strongest wind ever recorded in Ljubljana. Crazy… It was blowing like hell. That is unusual for Slovenia, especially for this part of the country. Anyway it all turned out well and there were no casualties reported which is the most important thing and secondly there was not any bigger damage on infrastructure as well.
Probably we can thank to solid development of our country where we are building quality buildings which minimize damage taken from unwanted natural phenomenon. Luckily there was no bigger natural catastrophe in our country for years and hope it remains like that.
I feel safe yesterday, but I thought about people in Africa for example where infrastructure is more or less terrible. I have visited some places, where they are sleeping literary underneath the stars or only have some houses from clay or straw. That has to be painful if the storm comes, what even if some bigger natural catastrophe hits them. Wouldn’t want to be in their skin…

But hey, hopefully that will not happen, or it will happen as less frequent as possible and people there will remain happy like my experience was during visiting Ethiopia in 2019. Hope you will enjoy that portrait photography set and stay safe folks!

Exemplary photography as always, people do enjoy being photographed in some parts of the world. Yes life is tough in many ways, yet they know freedom we do not.

Markings on body are usual tribal, self inflicted for some strange reason of which each tribe differs.

Life and culture is so unique in many parts of the World, so catching that through the lens is something very educational at some point.

Thank you for your support. Wish you a great start of the week!

We always learn something new no matter whether overseas or in our own home countries, always knowledge or stories to be shared.

Hello dear friend @crazy-andy good afternoon
I am very sorry for what has happened over there, the good thing is that there have been no victims to mourn
That's good when a country has safe construction policies, that saves many lives
There are many places other than Africa that suffer from catastrophes because they do not have secure policies to face this type of climate challenge.
These people are admirable, beautiful shots, I appreciate you making us known
enjoy the weekend

It was not too bad at the end anyway and now we are again enjoying the sun.
But it could be worse in some other places on our lovely planet.

Awesome travel portraits, I am sure there are plenty of wonderful stories behind them!

Happy World Photography Day! :)

Late to the party, but Happy World Photography Day, to you too!

And yes, there are many stories. Some speaks for themselves, some will be / was revealed in write-ups, the others will stay as a secret :)

The party is still going on, LOL :)

Have a great new week, Andy!

I remember watching documentaries about the people from Africa and it's hard not to get impressed and get back to your bed with other thoughts in your mind and being grateful for the life you have. Awesome shots!

Indeed. Very well said. Not all are lucky to have opportunity to live "civilized life" as we know it. But at the end, that may not always be a negative thing.

I also think so, to those who do not have a house to live in, it is so sad, especially about the food they eat every day, are they okay? oh no, i hope they will be fine wherever they are, and i hope there will be special attention for these people who desperately need this normal life.
Btw, the photos you get are also very beautiful, it feels like the life they live there.

Well, unfortunatelly we can't help them by ourselves. If life would be fair, there would be enough of goods for everyone, but we all know how it is in reallity.

Thank you for the compliments. I am doing my best, to bring this photos as close to you as possible.

Yups,so true 🥰🥰
We all wish them the best.

Especially the 3rd photo is beautiful. There is a great innocence in the boy's eyes. Strong enough to save the world...
