I am so proud of her

This past week for my family has been pretty rough. Last Friday night, our daughter, her boyfriend and his little brother were attacked on their way home from the store. They are all doing a lot better right now.

His little brother is still recovering since he got the worst of it. They were jumped by three large football players and his little brother suffered a broken nose and some pretty bad facial injuries. Our daughter was hit, picked up and slammed into a barbed wire fence and her boyfriend was kicked in the face a few times before the cowards ran off.

With all of the events of the past week involving the incident and the investigation that went along with it, they were not able to go and get flowers made for each other, but they did end up getting the stuff to make it themselves, and they turned out great.

We weren't sure if the kids were going to be able to make it to prom because of everything, but a few days ago we got word from the detectives that the people responsible for the attack have been caught and are all in custody. So now my daughter isn't so nervous about going out. It would have been pretty sad if this whole thing had ruined her first prom, but she is such a strong young woman and with everything life has been handing her lately, she is still trying to live life to its fullest and not be scared.

It was very hard for me over the past week to sit back and let the detectives do their job. I wanted to go out and find them myself and handle things, but I also needed to make sure I was going to be there for her.

She had an amazing time at her prom last night and seeing your kids happy is the greatest gift. Hopefully the rest of the year turns around for us and we won't have to deal with anything like this again.

I can’t even imagine being that parent, sitting and waiting for justice to be served. Kudos to you for letting them do their jobs so that you could be there for your daughter.

It’s devastating hearing this and I’m sorry your family had to experience such a scary and upsetting event. I really hope everyone especially his little brother can fully recover from this mentally.

Wow your daughter is very beautiful and such an inspiration. I bet it is really cool having a dad that takes awesome photography! Really great photos!

Blessings to you and your family ~

You have a beautiful daughter. They make an amazing couple. I'm sorry that all that happened, it must have been horrible. The people responsible for that deserve the worst. When I become a parent, I'm sure I will be very scared, I will want my children to be safe at all times and if anything happened to them, I wouldn't know what to do. It's too early to say that, but being a parent is very hard, still, it must be the best thing in the world. Take care of yourselves and I hope something else like this doesn't happen to you again.

Ai, that must have been horrible!
But I'm happy everything turned out kind of okay. Such a weird world we live in.

You have a beautiful daughter and your pictures really capture her strong and positive character, I can see it in her eyes. She's going to make in through everything life throws in her way <3

Oh my...I just can imagine how you felt with such events happening...😔
Your daughter is a shiny beauty, I'm happy she had a great time despite that all !

I am so sorry about what happened to your family. As a father, when I read your post's first two paragraphs I feel like I want to fight back. It's a good thing that the perpetrators are now in custody. Take care and have a blessed day.

Hmmmm...
That is sad story, but with better end.
I can't imagine that happening to me / my family.
Hope there is brighter future ahead and many more nice family photos :)

Take care and best regards to whole family!

Thanks man. It has been a rough week, but it is starting to look better now.

I'm sorry about what happened to your family.

She looks beautiful and strong. I remember my father, who died several years ago, who proudly drove me to school and always protected me no matter what.

I hope that in the next day everything will be okay for your family.

Thank you. We are getting through this and it has only made our family closer.

oh no...i am so sorry for everything that happened to your beautiful family Wes, i hope those evil born sons of bitches are paying for EVERYTHING in jail.

Meanwhile you just sit tight and enjoy the beautiful moments of life, and no doubt take care of yourselves a lot more when you get out, cheers.

Thanks man. All we can do is enjoy the time that we all have together. In the end, the people that did this are paying for it.

That's horrible brother, but thank God everyone is better, your daughter was able to enjoy the prom and enjoyed it to the fullest, all those obstacles that your daughter presented will have a better fruit in the future, you will see brother, soon the most important thing is that after the storm comes the calm, and I understand that as parents when something happens to our children, we want to go to face that problem for them, because we are in a world where there are many dangers.

O that is a horrible thing, man. I remember getting jumped as a teen it is not a good feeling.

Glad the cops did their job and caught them. Hope every recovers..

Ya, she has been really shaken up from it. She is getting over it now though and I am glad that those that did it are in jail where they should be.

Oh my god! You must have been so angry and upset for her . It's so hard to stand back when our children are hurt. What an awful thing to happen!!! I'm glad she made it to the prom.. a good memory to supercede the traumatic one. Glad they caught the bastards

Ya, it was hard being on the other side of things. When I was a cop I had to deal with situations like this all the time. I am glad that they have been caught so she can get back to living her life again.

Hey man, I'm sorry about this. Lately your week has been too rough, I hope things improve quickly.

Anyway, congratulations to your daughter. Glad to read she is doing well.

What beautiful pictures! I congratulate you, you have a beautiful daughter, I know what it's like to be a parent and the pride we feel for our children.
