In summer 2019 I visited the Grossglockner and some other mountains in Salzburg and Tirol for some hiking and for some spots to take some nice pictures of the mountain landscapes I found there. I really like the fresh air and the struggle it takes to go hiking with my camera equipment. Not in the moment of hiking but in the end it always paid off with a wonderful view or a nice meal at the mountain restaurant. When visiting high mountain reservoirs of Power Plants I am always amazed how beautiful the color of the water is. On a sunny day like the one we had during this trip the water appears in the most beautiful blue, green and turquoise and in reality it looked even more beautiful than on this picture.

When i find a spring on the top of a mountain I always wonder how much force it will need for the water to come out of the top of a mountain from deep underneath. And the water keeps running and running literally for ever, like on the next picture. Another thing I really like, is that you can find so many seldom flowers and plants in the mountains that don't grow somewhere else. During the summer when there is a nice weather it is very nice to spend your time in a place where it is not so hot, but you still need to be careful with a sunburn. I did probably catch the most sunburns I suffered from in the mountains. Because of the colder temperature you don't feel the sunburn on your skin so early, this is tricky. So be always prepared to take some sun lotion and after sun with you when hiking in summer.

One thing that I find a bit scary, but can be amazing, is that the weather situation in the mountains can change so fast. One minute it is very foggy and then the sun comes out behind the clouds and the fog disappears within minutes. Like on this picture below Some minutes earlier you couldn't see the top of the mountain back there and the whole lake was covered with mist. The sun came out behind the clouds and the situation changed so fast that I had even the fear I couldn't even capture the fast change in the fog situation.

Die ist grandios! Das einzige was mich stört, ist dass das Leben in den Tälern sich konzentriert.
Als Freund von Sonnenauf- und Untergängen würden mir diese auf Dauer in den Bergen, sofern ich nicht oben auf einer Alm lebe dauerhaft fehlen.

Absolutely stunning place, loving the shots very very much. This part of the world has always been on my "want to visit" list, although I've not made it over there yet, these pictures certainly give me the urge to get over as soon as I can. Keep up the great work.
