During my stay in Madeira, I visited a sea cliff that is one of the highest you can find in Europe, the Cabo Girão. It is located on the southern coast of the island. It is incredibly high, reaching up to 580 meters in height. Cabo Girão is often referred to as the highest cliff in Europe but this is not entirely true, there are a couple of coastal cliffs that are just a bit higher than this one.
We had booked a wine tour and it also involved doing some 4x4 offroading and visiting this cliff. We would have visited this place either way on our own too but it's cool that we could do it during the tour already.
Of course, this is one of the most known locations to visit by tourists so you can expect some people. What makes this especially cool is that they have built a glass platform to this cliff so you can go and stand on it and watch through the glass floor into a 580m drop to the ocean. Some who are afraid of heights refuse to stand there.
Obviously, the views are amazing that appear on the platform. Pictures again don't do the justice of showing how high this cliff really is.

We also took a quick look at the Chapel of Nossa Senhora de Fátima which is very close to the cliffside, a bit more higher up to the mountain.
